I am really upset with myself for getting these in the first place. I should have done more research on them before purchasing them. I went expecting to get a veiled but saw these instead. I should have just stuck with veiled since I have some experience with them but I had never seen these...
Thanks. Oddly I couldn't find much information on them but I found a picture that looked identical.
I was planning on taking her and a new baby veiled to the vet to have them checked out but I was trying to find a good one. I can't find anyone around here that could recommend one for...
That is what I was afraid of. I'll just get some more whenever I decide to reuse the cage then. I figured anything that would kill parasites would probably kill the plants.
I got two from BlueBeast Reptiles and am very happy with them. They are pretty easy to put together too, just don't overtighten the screws or you will strip them.
Hi guys, I lost a cham due to parasites and am wanting to disinfect the cage and contents so if I put another one in there they won't get them. The cage should be pretty easy but what about the plants? I have a sheffalera and a dracaena in it. Can they be cleaned without getting rid of them...
Yesterday I noticed my Female Dwarf Jackson's chameleon wasn't looking too good. I managed to get home early today and was going to call the vet but it was too late. She was hanging from a branch with blood coming out of her mouth. I decided to cut her open to see what I found and as soon as...
I once had a blue regal tang in my reef aquarium that I got for free from the fish store because someone brought him back. He looked pitiful and was very skinny. He would eat like crazy but never gain weight. I dewormed him and the next day I saw a wad that looked about like that come out...
Not all city water is the same. It can even vary at the same location. I drill water wells and sometimes they can also vary from one house to the next. I would say most of the time your water will be fine but there are some cases where I wouldn't use it.

This would worry me much more than the chlorine. It has been known about for a while but for some reason is in the news recently.
I thought of that too but there isn't a hot water line near where my cages are. It would also take a while for the water to heat up. Of course the water in the lines would be room temperature. Hmmm....
I was wanting to hook directly into a water line so it would have high pressure all the time. I did come across this which might work. http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/diy/36257-diy-external-heater-56k.html
Bleach is pretty safe if it is rinsed well. In my aquariums if I clean something with bleach I usually put some dechlorinator in the final rinse and that gets rid of any residue.
