I have one 10gallon already set up and another one in the works. It will probably be done by friday.
i can make a 20 gallon if you want. Just let me know.
Well they are in a dark rubbermaid tub. Its completely dark in there. It gets about 80-90 degrees in that room during the day so I dont think an extra eating source.
I also feed them dandilion leafs, carrots and sometimes lettuce when the other two are not available.
I have water...
How much food do they eat? I have about 200 nymphs and about 25-30 adults.
I put food that the breeder gave me in there, some food i bought from a dubia breeder and fruits and veggies and they hardly seem to touch it. Is this normal?
My male is only five months old =P
Shes more of a peachy color than that really dark colored female previously posted. I think she could be receptive instead of gravid.
I was just scared that she kept walking on the bottom of her cage. Im going to start building her and grimaces new...
ok, so after all the hissing and the gaping mouth of terror i got to hold her. I felt around her belly but didnt feel anything close to eggs. I didnt feel anything. Could it be possible that she is just showing those colors? being receptive?
Shes in a bin right now, but shes not showing any interest in digging. I dont want to touch her cause shes mean as hell right now. Is there any other way of seeing if shes gravid? Sometimes she looks really fat, and then other times she looks skinny.
Wow she almost looks exactly like that. Im scared to touch her cause shes been really pissy as of late. everytime i get near her she gets crazy so i just let her be.
Should i put her in a bucket with soil so she can lay eggs?
What colors do they show when theyre gravid? I have a female ambanja.
Also, how do you tell if theyre holding eggs?
My female is walking on the bottom of her cage. Im thinking shes looking for a place to dig.
if you want to switch feeders, I would say go with dubia roaches.
with the crickets you can put them in a bucket and have egg crates stacked vertically. cut them down so they cant jump out of the bucket.
