Yeah I've read on here that you're not really supposed to handle chams at all so that's probably good if you just leave him alone. I personally want my cham to be friendly and hang out with me all the time so I try to hold him every other day so he gets used to it lol
Woah he's got some cool colors. My cham is like 2-3 months old and the other day i saw super thin electric blue bars on his ribs, so I'm hoping he ends up looking crazy :D
Yeah the tall one is definitely better. They've gotta be able to climb up and down like they would in the wild. And move him as soon as you want, 3 weeks is plenty of time for him to have settled in IMO.
Oh yeah thats a good idea. He kind of gets freaked out when I poke him onto my hand. I can't really just leave the door open though cause he hasn't figured out the cup feeding yet lool.
Haha that video is awesome man! Yeah I usually just let my little dude out and he crawls up my shirt/arm and then sits on my head. When I let him crawl around my desk he usually goes for my surround sound speaker wires and crawls up them and into some christmas lights that I have strung all...
Hey everyone, is it alright if I take my little cham out like every other day and hold him/let him crawl around my room for 20-30 minutes? He's a 3 month old veiled and I just want him to get used to being handled so that he'll chill with me and won't run away or attack. He never gets his dark...
Haha alright just making sure. It didn't seem like a problem but if it was I wanted to fix whatever was wrong before he got sick again.
Thanks everyone :D
Alright I'll try to take one tomorrow. It's a very small part that has turned brown so idk if it'll show up in the pics but i'll try. I noticed the coloring a couple days ago so I don't really think its a shed. Also its barely noticeable, just slightly brown/orange along his nose/eye ridge...
I've recently noticed that my little cham's spikes on his back have turned slightly brown right at the tips. Could this be from a burn or is he just growing up? The closest his branches are to the ceiling of his cage is about 6-8 inches and he's only 2 months old so I don't think he could have...
I'm also wondering about the spikes turning brown. I've noticed this on my cham recently too. His basking spot is about 8-12 inches from his lights/top of the cage so I don't think he could have actually burned himself on the screen. If anyone knows about this please let us know
My cham keeps the eye closest to the basking light closed too. I think its fine as long as the other eye is alert and he's not sleeping. I'm not sure if its a bad thing or not though, maybe someone else does
Wow.. that really sucks :(
I had the same thing happen to my baby cham too, but thankfully mine pulled through. I got him when he was barely a month old. He was fine for a couple days but he started to just lay around with his eyes closed all day. He wouldn't eat or drink. He wouldn't even...
Hey everyone, I took some more pics of my little veiled Rodriguez yesterday. They're up on my site at www.aandersonphoto.com/Other/Roger-2
He's so awesome, I can sit and watch him crawl around for hours hahah.
Niiice. You probably shouldn't have the waterfall though. I like how they look too but people on here convinced me that they just grow bacteria which is true. If you really want it in there just make sure you clean it at least every other day.
Haha yeah I try not to freak him out too much. My friend wanted me to get a quick video of Roger with his new macro lens. This vid was the only time that I got that close to him, I try to not even reach my hands too far into his cage even when cleaning it/moving things. He's just so goofy I...
Here's another video of my little chameleon getting freaked out by the camera
