Thanks Sandra.
I can't elevate the pot without cutting the top off the plant, but the rocks with the saran sounds like one I will try. I tried an upside down pie plate but had to cut too many slots to fit around the stalks.
Thanks for the replys.
I don't have a dripper and already have 4 holes in the pot and a sand organic soil mixture to help with drainage. I have tried a bunch of different angles with the misting nozzle and think I am at the spot where the plant is getting the least amount of water...
Do any of you have any tips on how to keep too much water from going into my large schefflera. The problem is there are 4 stalks coming out of the pot so I can't use a pie tin with a slot or anything like that. Was thinking of trying saran wrap but don't want my cham to eat it! The roots are...

Too many nice comments, I had to spice it up.;)

I asked this same question over a year ago when I got my first Veiled.
Benny was kind enough to answer my question as he did yours. I took his advice as it made sense to me and cut back the food quite a bit with no adverse affects.
There are lots of opinions on "how much food" but with the...
I'd just like to thank all of you!!:D
All I had to do was show this thread to my girlfriend and she now thinks "the few" we have "isn't that bad".
Maybe I can convince her I'm Prince Charming by letting her watch 10 minutes of Jerry Springer!!;):D
Alot of the soils come with slow release fertilizer pellets in it.
As far as the organic potting soil, I mix it with sand to help with drainage and prevent root rot.
