I did think about that. I know people put their heart and souls into these little guys and I don't want to offend them but asking for "cheap" eggs. I don't want to offend anyone, I just can't afford to put that kind of money into a grad project when the board funds one if in their price range...
Well as much as I would love to run this genetic research, it won't happen. :(
There is no way the board will agree to fund the purchase of 8 eggs at 200- 300 each.
Sad for me. I hope someday someone does start to research this. It will lead to other research that could truly help this...
Hey all,
I am looking to add one or possibly two female Amilobes to our family. They will hopefully be a christmas present, but I will wait for the right one/s.
Willing to trade depending on what you need. Will take a rehome if you need to move out a female.

They must be.
My daughter wanted a cham so after months of study and a nasty cham husbandry test I gave her ( did I mention shes 7? I really did NOT want a lizard in my house) , she passed with flying colors and carrots our panther was added to our home. Well it is now 3 months later and I...
Ok, so while I have read quite a bit about breeding, there doesn't seem to be much about the actual passing on of colors through genetics. Being of a scientific mind, this is frankly driving me batty.
Here is the first question for those of you who have bred, what colorations are genetically...
HOT DOG!!!!!
Dude I sooo owe you a box of crickets or something. This is exactly what i needed. Been trying to make my own, but there's a reason I am a pharmacist, and NOT an engineer :D Thanks!!!!

Play sand can be found at Wal-marts, Lowes and most hardware stores. I get mine either from Wal-mart or a toys r us. Avoid the colored stuff as it can dye the cham that color;) It comes in a pretty big bag.
Other then that I can't tell you about eggs, but good luck with her, and glad you...
The cinnamon trick worked for me. Sprinkle the inside of the bin with a little cinnamon. This drives the gnats away, but I am beginning to think my carrots thinks I am flavoring the crickets for him, cause he sure snaps them up for the next week or two!
I got my cricket crack from SSimsswiSS on here along with some really good tips. As for the water crystals I get them at petco. My lowes doesn't carry them.
But I gotta say i do use CC as my main gutload, and I got some monsters, and a cham who is the mighty cage hunter. lol
Ok so I got several recommendations about using cricket crack from the members on this forum. Now considering I have never been able to keep a cricket alive more then a day and a half after getting them from the store I had hoped at best to extend that long enough to actually feed all the...
Lol! Oh for the love of Pete! Talk about forgetting the important stuff. I have a panther male red bar amilobe. Sigh sorry I get so focused on him I forget not everyone knows everything about him to.
Ok, so I keep reading and there are a lot of posts mentioning the size of the chameleon. So my question is about what size should a cham be at 4-5 months? I know there is no set number but what about a range? Plus when you measure your cham are you measuring the body, or the tail too? Every...
Hmmm, so what you're saying is that in about 5-6 months just when we are ready you'll have a nose be baby waiting for us huh? Lol can't wait to see them!
Yep we have a tortoise named broccoli, and now a cham named carrots, oh and my 5 yo sons 2 aquatic turtles fireball and tractor. I think they are hoping to con me into never eating broccoli or carrots again. :p
Well after several months of looking, reading, study, and work on a environment, our new baby Carrots has finally gotten here.
We were lucky enough to receive a baby from a forum member, nhoj646.
Let me say she has been more then patient with my questions! He got here crawled out of...
