I think those are normal colors for Werner's, but I'm not sure. Compared to other chams such as veileds and panthers who are bright, this is a cool change. A mossy lichen colored cham :)
His spine can get really red! I was surprised the range of color he has. He can go from pale green and ghost white to red spine, lichen color green, and dark brown. He is truly cool in that respect.
Leedragon, I have more plants, like an umbrella plant that I am going to put in when it is cleansed. My old chameleon passed away so I have to make absolutely sure it is clean.
Also I will be building a cage backing that can hold pothos. :)
Thanks guys
I think I may call him Tingo. Not sure why, it just sounds cute to me.
Anyway here is a new picture.
Here is the cage photo. Finally got it all put together again.
Humidity stays in well. He gets 3 mistings a day and 2 through the night, since that is what I read, that they need...
I highly recommend that you do not spray anything onto the wood unless you know it's safe.
You do not need any kind of magical water proofer, if you really want, you can paint on a sealant. But you must let that air out for quite a long time if you want to put a cham in it.
Anyway, I...
Honestly the monsoon does not mix well with screen as it uses suction cups, but maybe you will get it to work fine.
But overall in quality and functionality the mistking is superior in every way (having seen several failed monsoon mister instances).
If you have the mister going off for 2 minutes every 3 hours or so, it's not hard at all to keep up humidity.
However, most humidity may escape through the screen. If you want to keep the water off your walls (it damages paint and wooden furniture especially...) I would buy a shower curtain...
Thanks for the advice :) i pit a hornworm and a dubia in the branches before i left. I tested the mist king yesterday, the schedule i have it on keeps it to at least 60% all the time. There is 1 period where I let it dry a bit but thats it. Adchams must be down because it didnt open for me...
Oh man, that doesn't sound good. Maybe part of her hyoid bone broke?
If her tongue is non functional and folding over, that's not normal. I say vet time.
Last photo of the day - I promise... ;) he is sleeping now
also I immediately took out the 50 watt flood and inserted a 40 watt incandescent. It gives off maybe 80 degrees of heat if you put your hand RIGHT UNDER IT. So I suppose it will be a-ok for my werners.
