i do this also.i just remove the tips of the legs. its hard catching jumping crickets without bashing things in the enclosure and upsetting the cham..i dont use a bowl tho as sully likes them to run along a long vine at the front of his enclosure and he eats everyone.its going to be munched up...

hi there i believe this is common in young chams but not in adults.im not sure why they do it tho. personally i would remove it.you dont want it causing an impaction.:)

not sure why that is. i guess some prefer to abbreviate it and some dont :) also from what i have heard the growth from using the plant pro bulbs is very rapid.
