    Swollen and film over eye

Here's the vet list... Get your baby to a vet ASAP. That looks like a raging infection, likely in the sinus, maybe the eye too.

    Tail bitten

Were you able to get him to a cham vet? With injuries that extensive, he may have an infection and will likely need antibiotics. Silver sulfadiazine is a by-prescription item... If you didn't make it to a vet, how did you get it? Glad he got a new UV light! The D3 and A will take a while to...

    Heat/Humidity Recommendations

So a long-overdue update: I taped a piece of paper over my vent to redirect the heat. I also got the temp control probe and that's been able to keep temps no higher than a registered 81 degrees. Adding misting sessions during the day and eliminating the fan on top of the cage has helped humidity...

    Moving slowly

But keep basking near 80 - 87 is too warm. :)

    Tail bitten

Popping in to say that all this advice is most excellent! It's definitely a lot to absorb and I'll reiterate that folks here are VERY glad you're here and being willing to take advice from folks. You care about this lovely little creature and that absolutely shows. I don't have much to add...

Is it just me or does her leg look swollen

60% seems rather high for a veiled... I wonder if the intent is for her to stay hydrated with the extra supplements she's being given. I personally would NOT push humidity that high, but make sure she's got extra access to water and keep an eye on her urates. I'd rather her drink more from a...

Panther M 2 Years Old - Something off

I went to him with Little Guy before he passed. Dr. Daulhausen was absolutely FANTASTIC. He knows about these forums and asked if I knew Asia! I know Milford is definitely NOT close to Cleveland but my experience, despite losing my cham (turns out he had cancer deep in his tissues... nothing I...

Panther M 2 Years Old - Something off

That's good to hear! Phone cameras can really warp what things look like lol. But yeah I'd move the UVB lamp to be diagonal across the whole cage. Chams aren't really all that smart, and don't know they need to go bask AND go sit under a UVB. By making it diagonal, he can bask and be getting...

Panther M 2 Years Old - Something off

So one thing that should be super easy to change, and will help with UVB, is put your UBV light diagonally across the cage. That'll give him the most access to the UVB he needs, no matter where he is in the cage. It also looks like his highest branches MAYBE get a bit too close to the...

Is it just me or does her leg look swollen

I won't overtake this thread, but THANK YOU! I Hope so too. He's 12 and nearing the end of the average life span for his breed, but acts ENTIRELY healthy. I'm hoping whatever it is, I've caught it early. It's almost certainly some sort of kidney issue, but what kind, not sure. Also high blood...

Is it just me or does her leg look swollen

Spicy girl! I'm having the same issue with my dog right now... The found too much protein in his pee which could indicate any one of like 3 dozen issues, so testing testing testing we go... I don't think he's as spicy as she as at the vet, but I'm sharing my love to you for the things we do for...

Panther M 2 Years Old - Something off

A lot of good questions! I'll do my best to answer them in order (with the caveat I'm not a vet or an expert, just someone who follows husbandry closely). 70-74 during the day is fine, just make sure his enclosure dries out from mistings during the day to avoid respiratory infections. The...

I don't know if this is a bad thing or not.

The folks above have been very helpful (sorry about answering slow, my day has been crazy). DEFINITELY follow @Beman's advice. I'm glad you're getting the cage! Make sure that you get live plants, way more branches, update your supplements, and most importantly, get her to a vet, because MBD...

I don't know if this is a bad thing or not.

Pictures will be great. I'm about to go to bed so I'll review what you posted tomorrow, but there are quite a few things that could change for the benefit of your cham. If anyone else gets to this before I do, feel free to review! But if this is the same cham you posted about earlier, she's...

I don't know if this is a bad thing or not.

Hello! Is this the same chameleon that you posted about back in August? Drooling isn't normal for a chameleon, and causes can be numerous. Will you post a few pictures of your cham and describe what's happening more? Have you filled out a husbandry form before? It'd be helpful for us to see...

    Help. Worried about chameleon health

Chams heal very slowly - weeks, really. Though I could see that possibly being a burn, or a fungal issue. She also looks rather overweight (or possibly full of eggs - when was the last time she laid?). HOnestly, this sort of thing is hard to determine... I'd go to the vet if you can.

Is it just me or does her leg look swollen

IT's gone down a TON, wow! If it were me, and funds weren't an issue, I'd go ahead and keep the vet appointment, if only to get an overall check and make sure things are good. For me, that'd give me a sanity check, but your mileage may vary.

    Veiled Chameleon always brown?

Yeah, I'd definitely do that sooner than later. And bring a fresh fecal sample in to the doc to see if they'll do a float for a parasite check. Fingers crossed he'll bounce back!

    Veiled Chameleon always brown?

I also wanted to add, it looks like I spot red lights there - red lights are not good for chams. It messes with their eyes - that could be a source of stress for him as well. You'll want to replace that ASAP with a white-light only bulb. I'm not sure if you've got that for heating or something...

    Chameleon fell down

Chameleons in general can be quite shy. Male veilds in particular are notorious for being "spicy." But if you want to build trust, this is a great place to start: https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/building-trust-with-your-chameleon.2396/
