Thanks! She has turned out to be quite a little project, but so much fun! Yes, I knew Brad would be the guy to answer the diet questions for a female veiled, so put her right on the schedule he suggested. Now if I could just get Joyce to blame HIM instead of me for it! :D
I figure the...
I totally understand your question, I am there too! Once I got rid of the converted ferret cage and put her into her new LLL Reptile cage, she went immediately into pig mode (see thread "Joyce still pigging out!") and stayed there. I posted to see what I should do, since her...
Wow, thanks for that. I am still struggling to find the right temps and feeding schedule for Joyce that will keep her happy, but hopefully also keep her egg production low or nil to extend her lifespan.
She is MAD about her new Chameleon Weight Watchers feeding schedule! Yesterday afternoon...
Hi Darla, glad to see another new person, and a female at that! I love that there are quite a few women on this board, I was on a frog forum several years ago and was the only female there.
Your kiddo is a doll, I love that gap-toothed smile when they lose their front teeth! :D
My ex-husband was wildly jealous of any attention I gave to anything, including pets, job, family, etc. But that's okay, I got all the pets in the divorce, and he got a prison cell.
Loving my critters is a prerequisite for the guys I date. My big macaw is particularly choosey about...
Disarray I think you are doing everything you can, considering your situation. Brad made some great points about needing to look realistically at YOUR life right now, and what you can reasonably take on. That you are trying to help her within her present location is a great thing, and don't...
I actually find that really interesting, and not off topic. I had a similar experience with small marsupials (sugar gliders) 10 or so years ago. I studied everything I could find before getting them, made sure I had an exotic vet who would treat them nearby, did everything exactly by the book...
I'm happy to see this thread going in a more positive direction, as I deliberately stayed off it before, not liking the way Jeremy was ganged up on. Thank you to those of you who spoke up about that, I felt I was too new here to chime in. I personally agree with many of you who have pointed...
Cool, I didn't realize this thread was here. Great to put faces with all the names! I'm Wendy, I'm a 38 year old therapist working with children with autism and related disorders, and currently also going back to school to get my masters in counseling. Since both work and school are full...
I also have both. Joyce spends most of her time in the schefflera tree (real), but also seems to appreciate the fake greenery here and there that she can quickly duck behind if out on one of her vines. A lot of the pictures of people's setups have shown combinations of real and fake plants...
Some of the small varieties are good indoor plants, my sister used to grow them under grow lights, though not in a cham enclosure. Do you know what kind you have? They really vary, some maxing out at 4 feet tall, and others growing up to 60 feet tall.
I'm so glad she's doing well!
I hope you get at least some of your money back. And people like that guy, their reputation ALWAYS catches up with them eventually. You treat enough people like sh!#, and one day you drown in it!
Paypal is so infuriating at times, you rarely get anyone that can speak english because they outsource everything. When I got divorced, it took them 9 MONTHS to process my name change correctly!!
Does Paypal have an appeal process any more? They used to, and I would think you could appeal...
Did you use a credit or debit card for the Paypal payment? If so, contact your card company and tell them what happened, and they can reverse the charges. You can also file a claim against the merchant in small claims court, which is a pain, but may be worth pursuing just to get this jerk...
