Can you tell us what you were using as supplements and gutload prior to your chameleon being diagnosed with a vitamin A deficiency? Is the vitamin A that was prescribed a preformed version? How much (IU's) are you giving?
Sorry for the barrage of questions, the vitamin A thing interests...
I am with hairfarm on this one.. I just squirt in the front of the mouth and wait for the chameleon to swallow before adding more. I have never tried to put it in the back of the mouth.. I think it would be dangerous and risk aspiration. Some of the time, they spit it right back out at you...
Oooh, I just saw a picture from a breeder that had triplets from the same egg. One was alive and the other two had died. Hopefully, he will post pics sometime soon.

That is interesting.. I would love to see the information you have. I didn't even realize they existed, and I find it very reassuring. I am surprised to hear that the US market doesn't generate enough response to justify import.. the Tanzanian farmed animals seem to sell really well.
So this is how that Tanzanian farm's animals are imported? Because they are F1 animals, correct?
Couldn't the same be done in Madagascar? A farm that breeds and distributes true F1 animals.. sure would cut down on illegal exports.

Thanks, Holland, that is helpful.
Do you know how strictly this is actually enforced in other countries? Like, animals entering European countries.. are the CITES paperwork really combed over?

Wow, this is out of the blue. I thought I was involved in an interesting conversation, not a controversy. It seems to me that a few people have their hackles up about this thread.. down, down! It is a simple discussion, nothing more.
Good to see you here, Curtis. I believe I saw a...
Oh, I am sorry to hear that. My vet is my friend, and I believe that one was on the house. It was a very simple procedure for him. The pimple looking thing on my female wasn't as big as the one on your girl.. does it seem to be bothering her? Is it growing?

Hi Jaide,
I have a different species with a similar sounding bump on her lip. My vet removed it entirely... it was full of some hard stuff. It took a while for it to heal.. her snout got a "pimple" as well after the first one was removed, and my vet removed that crap too. Sorry for the lack...
Ha.. :p I wonder sometimes how much the governing bodies watch these reptile sales sites.
There are some additional animals on the Madagascar list that can be legally exported in small quantities... some of the brookesia.
This is a great time to ask the more knowledgeable folks on the list...
I am curious about these guys as well.. it was my (perhaps mistaken) understanding that the group and coloration were an actual locale. I emailed Screameleons.. hopefully, the owner will be by to help us out with the specifics.
