Breeding flightless flies is difficult because breeding a flightless fly to a flightless fly produces some flying flies. Say that 10 times fast.
It is much easier to "create" flightless flies by hatching them in a very warm, humid environment. A large portion of them will be flightless if...
I went and took a look at the herpmist website, but didn't really see any usable information. Am I missing it? How powerful are these pumps? Are they good for a couple heads, or 50? How do they compare when looking at this chart: http://meherenow.com/blog/rainmaker_compare.html
Thanks!

Hi.. I have kept brevs for a couple of years now, and they are one of my favorite species. The exoterra cage you are referring to.. is it one of the glass ones with the screen top? If so, what size is it?
Yes, the species lives communally without many problems, although I believe that...
Somehow, I think that the folks at Cricket Food would avoid putting rat poison into the mix.
I am letting them know that this thread is going on so they can give some input.
FYI.. edema is not caused by rat poison. It is caused by oversupplementing, usually, although sodium is believed to...
Just want to comment that if your friend doesn't have time for the chameleon, it would be best for him/her to rehome it. Not fair for the cham to not be getting proper care.. your friend can get another cham later on when he/she has more time.

What about the water?
Is it well water? City? Purified, non-purified, etc?
There is a keeper on this forum that had problems with the city water she was giving to her chameleons.. she is from an area with awful water. Her chams started having major problems, and she finally discovered it...
Hi Dave,
I just selected that date. There wasn't much updating after that, I don't think, and a lot of the later dates are from when the site was being shut down. Here is the full archive: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://chameleonjournals.com
It is kind of neat to go back to the...
Can't really tell from your picture what those dots are, but in my experience, very few of the bullet shaped brev eggs hatch for some reason. I always incubate them anyhow, but they rarely make it past a couple weeks without molding and collapsing.
Keep in mind that WC flies harbor parasites. It is best to get farmed pupae for feeding.
Flies gutload really easy.. they eat anything. I mix up my gutload and then wait for the fly poop to match the color of whatever I am feeding them. I can be reasonably certain that they are very well...
