    Sunken eyes ??????????

What leads you to that conclusion? Nobody even suggested that his lizard suffered from a lack of food or was actually a crested gecko. Sunken eyes generally point to a dehydrated chameleon, but really urates are the ultimate indicator for that and this particular chameleon seems otherwise very...

    Who would want an Ankaramy

You almost sound surprised to see a new forum member getting way ahead of themselves to sell babies. Doesn't this happen ~monthly? I'm not challenging the capability of anybody here, I just hope everybody recognizes what a huge responsibility it is to breed chameleons.

    Food that Feeder Insects Love

OMG those pictures are terrifying! It's like a zombie horde on fresh brains! I just feed my roaches store-bought cricket gutload (Fluker's) and they also attack like zombies.

    other sources of Vitamin A

Yeah I remember reading that silkworms fed chow do contain Vitamin A. The fact that it's possible for them to survive [temporarily] on carrots also leads me to believe that they can convert Beta Carotene to A.

    Microchipping

"An idiom is a phrase whose meaning cannot be determined by the literal definition of the phrase itself, but refers instead to a figurative meaning that is known only through common use." It's not a bad word. You just said "People in this country will nick anything these days..." and I've...

    other sources of Vitamin A

I, too, noticed vitamin A problems once I switched from crickets to roaches. To be honest, I fed less of everything else (silks/horns/supers) when I switched to roaches just because I always seem to have too many! So there are a couple of variables in that one.

    Microchipping

I didn't even know such a thing was practiced. The vet and groomer never even scan my sister's dog, making the chip useless. I'm not real keen on euro idioms, but if you're suggesting the possibility that your chameleon gets stolen, how long do you think it would last under the "care" of a...

    My Ambanja

And now you have to decide whether or not you're OK with breeding a mixed Panther. As a non-breeder though, he is a good-looking specimen, prettier than a lot purebred Ambanjas in a lot of ways. ;)

    other sources of Vitamin A

I'm curious about the isopods so many keep bringing up. Are you talking about this: or are you talking about a pillbug/sowbug? One seems a little too big and the other too small. Also, where do you get them from?

    LLLReptile

Yeah I'd get used to that on this forum... That's pretty cool to have the same initial for all 3 names. It would be funny if his middle name was Oscar though, your whole company would be quite different ;p

    [ A Whole New Variety!}

Some people claim that calcium will kill roaches. I mention this because most water crystals sold for insects is calcium-enhanced. Of course you can get regular water crystals, too. That being said, I use these calcium-enhanced crystals with my roaches and they thrive. I wouldn't use regular...

    other sources of Vitamin A

The funny thing is Rep-Cal is proud to have no vitamin A. From their site: "HERPTIVITE is the first reptile vitamin without Vitamin A. Instead we use Beta Carotene which is an anti-oxidant that is converted into Vitamin A in a regulated way, so there is no threat of Vitamin A toxicity." I...

    Eggs in dirt question

Why would anything happen? Some people prefer not to dig them up at all. The only problem I can see is it would be too hot, and if it is, then you definitely risk losing all the eggs
