All poop stinks ... except the first poop that comes out of a baby (I've never had the pleasure of verifying this though). If your chameleon's poop has NO odor whatsoever, I suggest actually feeding him and not pretending that chunk of organic soil is poop or taking him to the vet! Supposedly a...
I suppose if you were wealthy enough you could either buy Yemen or pay an army to take it over. But I don't think that's the answer you were looking for :)
I bleached it because I needed to kill whatever bacteria and other junk developed from the combination of water, roach poop, roach food, and dead roach bits. I'm not running a hospital, I believe a more appropriate analogy might be that I'm running a kitchen and certainly I want my chameleon's...
They've been living in a bathroom cabinet lately where it's probably 75-80 degrees. They were breeding too fast for me when I kept them outside. In the cabinet they'd still been breeding, just slower. No male ever had his wings eaten.
I'm still pretty curious about the horrible smell... There...
Yeah I'm pretty paranoid about this kind of thing so I don't think I'm going to feed any of these off until I have no deaths for at least a couple of weeks. The survivors do seem to be fine now (the ones that died became very lethargic shortly before their demise) but I'm definitely going to...
So I recently ran out of water crystals for my roaches and while I waited for the new stuff to come in I just gave them actual water. That was a huge mistake because they spilled it everywhere and the roach bin quickly became inhospitable. So I switched them over to another bin while I cleaned...
I was afraid of posting my thoughts about typos and the like because I figured they might be taken the wrong way (especially when I can already be considered a bad guy on this forum sometimes). I understand that with new technology "different" forms of communication have been adopted. I am a...
Anything that's fake should be washable. I've heard bleach doesn't work on coccidia, but it works on almost everything else, so bleaching and then cleaning with ammonia (don't inhale the fumes! Bleach + ammonia combo can be fatal) should rid you of the parasites. Make sure you rinse everything...
Dude those things could level a forest in no time flat, even moving at snail speed! Unless they're carnivorous, in which case -- hey, where's my dog???
I think coccidia are pretty tough to get rid of. Bleach won't kill them, but ammonia will. It's probably going to be difficult to kill all of them and all their eggs. You'd have to routinely clean everything in the cage, repot plants, etc.
Disclaimer: I've never actually dealt with it, but...
Hey guys, I know a lot of you are also aquarists so I was wondering if somebody could give me a link where I can find supplies (especially lighting) cheap? I might also be interested in an aquarium forum. :)
Thanks in advance.
I think he's asking where it ultimately exited the body.
My understanding:
The chameleon regurgitated the water out of his belly and it all exited through his mouth.
Am I right?
I kind of get the same impression as the OP. I'm not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing, I just feel like the demeanor of many on this forum is similar to that of the average teenager. Most posts are also full of spelling and grammatical errors, which always makes me think the author is...
