Hey there, I've got a little question, on Tuesday night I noticed Gonzales eye closed on one side. The next morning (yesterday) he was shedding. Today, he seems to be finished his shed but he's still keeping that eye shut.
???
Any suggestions? I've used Shed-aid on him, could that be...
Thanks :) I picked up a grow light for it last night. He's already got 2 regular habiscus in his old cage (they've been heavily chewed on LOL).
He hasn't liked most of the fresh greens I've offered him, he tends just to go after the habiscus. I haven't tried dandellion though, so I'll give...
One little question, I've got the 4ft LLLReptile cage ready to go but I wanted to add a tall plant. Gonzales however loves to eat plants so most of the popular ones (dwarf umbrella & ficus) that get some good height to them are not a safe idea according to the plants resources here
What other...
Andrea: I'm sorry...didn't realize. Yay, another girl cham lover :) Do you get faced with wierd looks too when you tell people you love chams?
Brillient, I'll give those a try. THANKS A ZILLION!!!
Ok, so, I've got a FABULOUS cage that's monstorous in size but I'm apparently dumb cause I can't see how to attach vines to it and keep them up. I had the flexarium which I'd wrap the vines around the frame but obviously can't do that with this one. Ummmm...HELP!
I could just put plants in...
Hi there, I'm looking for resources and suggestions to what to look for in an un-healthy chameleon.
Gonzales is fine (before you worry), but I'd like to read up on what things to look for if say he get's a parasite attack, mites, eye problems, etc.
Is there a good resource out there for...
I thoroughly cleaned the plants with soap & water, washed the roots and repotted them in straight organic black earth. Hopefully that's enough. He seems healthy, his poops look normal and he's growing.
I'm glad that it's not abnormal. He's stripped half of one plant already.
I've got a question, my baby Veiled seems to have a little bit of an obsession with his hibiscus plants. He eats them like crazy. He's not a big crawling insect fan so I'm concerned he's not getting enough protein for his growing body.
Is there anything I can do to help steer him more to...
Ok, so if you've read HELP...Canadians you know my plight. Anyway not to bore you with background I've ordered a 2x2x4 Aluminum Cage from lllreptile for Gonzales.
My question is, what's the best way of dealing with drainage with these cages. Having never seen one physically I'd like to...
Hope so too for ya. Watch the inside near the zipper, mine started to stick but that was from a small thread that was pulling up. It was the sign of things to come I think.
I've ordered the LLL cage (global didn't have the 48") and let's cross our fingers it gets here quickly. Our local stores don't have anything but flexariums and would take a week to get here anyway. So LLL it is. Got the big one too, looking forward to it's arrival.
As for the craptarium...
Ok, I know you're all going to say TOLD YA SO but my flexarium's seams are coming undone. Seems those %(#*(% carpenter ants chewed through and started a chain reaction.
Anywho, I know lllreptile is fabulous but I need a cage here asap. Getting it over the boarder is going to take...
Hmm...others will be a better help I'm sure.
My little guy is a snob about food, and if your's is like mine, you may want to try some different food types. House Flys and moths are my guys fav!!! Crickets are for him what brussel sprouts are to most kids. Hornworms and silkworms can get him...
I'm not nearly as experienced as most of the other keepers on this board but a couple things I noticed.
Loose that kind of UVB bulb and go for a flourescent strip type. Your risk serious eye problems for them.
Baby's realy like a lot of foliage, get some live plants (pothos, habiscus...
I'll second that! 6 Legged Demons! Slaughtered half of my cricket stock in a couple hours. Watch them too, they go after waxies and butters too.
BTW: Bounce sheets don't work. They were walking all over them for me.
