    Poop in progress! 🤣🙃

I honestly wouldn't doubt if this was some kind of territorial behavior. Like when my dogs poop/pee at the edge of the fence lol

    Poop in progress! 🤣🙃

Definitely. It's so weird. On the weekends I open the enclosure and he literally charges straight at me. And then stops at the edge then poops lmao

    Poop in progress! 🤣🙃

Idk why he does this but when I visit him on the weekends he walks right over to me.....then poops 😂

Yeah it happens to most who get into keeping chameleons at first. It will be okay if you pay close attention to what you're told to change and you act fast. Take it seriously and your chameleon will do just fine! You may need to act quickly though. Especially if you have any fake plants...

lol this is exactly what happened to me when we named our first chameleon, who also turned out to be a girl. Welcome! You've come to the right place. You are about to get loaded with a lot of information. Some of it may feel like criticism. Do not take it that way. Chameleons are very...

    Keeping crickets alive

Understandable! Unfortunately, for me here I only have petsmart and petco. So I just foot the bill lol with that being said their crickets are pretty cheap imo. Doing the math I was actually spending more for a few dozen crickets in petsmart than I am getting these on Joshs frogs. So it is...

    Keeping crickets alive

Yep good call. I just get the pre-gutloaded crickets from joshs frogs. I think its like 65-75 in a pack. But it works out well with those numbers in the size I have. Keeping less is better imo for a nice clean setup like this if that's what you want. I like it like this. Even if I pay more...

    Opinion needed about set up

The last picture is a recent picture of the enclosure. It changed some from when I first started but not by much. Mostly added more sticks. Hope this helps!

    Opinion needed about set up

I don't have time to get deep into this so I will give you a quick opinion from what I see right off the bat. 1) Definitely need more branches (you want it to be a jungle in there). 2) More plants, and specifically have some pots around the middle of the enclosure, or 1 big one like I have...

    Keeping crickets alive

Spike has gone through phases where he didn't eat silkworms (for like a week), he always tends to go for crickets regardless. And always eats BSFL+flies. But yeah he won't do Dubias either, or superworms. I have a very clean way to keep my crickets. I just use a big plastic storage...

    Bolt's Lack of Poop

Every time I am just about to post on here about Spike "not pooping" I find that he decided to poop somewhere different with excellent poop camouflage and I just did not see it earlier lmao It drives me crazy because as his pothos plants continue to grow, it gets harder to find it. And...

    Keeping crickets alive

Sorry for the late response! So, it depends on which bug(s) I feed him that day. Typically, I do something like this 1) 1-2 silkworms (large, and depending on how large they are) 2) 1-2 silkworms (med-large), approx 6+ BSFL 3) 4-6 crickets (1/2" - 3/4") 4) 9-12 BSFL (typically only do this...

Food Dilemma, won’t eat roaches and silkworms won’t be here until midweek

Darn. I figured it was a long shot but you never know so figured I'd ask. IMO, put a bunch of BSFL in her plant pots. My reasoning here is this will have them hatch sooner as they need 70f+ and something like 30-60% humidity to hatch. This works really well for me during the winter. During...

Food Dilemma, won’t eat roaches and silkworms won’t be here until midweek

Also, where are you located???? If you are close enough to Millville, NJ I will bring some to you. I have plenty of silks(Frams Chams), BSFL(Joshs Frogs), and crickets (joshs frogs).

Food Dilemma, won’t eat roaches and silkworms won’t be here until midweek

How many days has it been since she has eaten? Are the silkworms big? I would say continue to gutload the silks real good, don't let them cocoon, if it appears they begin to, and give her 1, wait a day or 2 and give her the other one. Honestly, I used to sometimes supplement Spikes...
