I have been looking at this for $50. I’m going to take a look at it on Sunday. It has a slightly smaller depth than it should be, but I’m brainstorming ways to build on couple of inches to the back of the enclosure...or is it permissible to be a little shallow provided the height and length are...
Actually, we decided that even though it was free it was a little too much of a project. Plus when we got the measurements I have no idea where we would put something that size!
Mostly cosmetic, but one door isn’t even attached...missing hinge. I figure if I have to replace that I might as well pick out what I want for the rest of it.
Yep, I was concerned about the doors too. I would love to have the front glass with magnetic closure but doubt I could find the right size. I will definitely enlist the help of the hubby for that part...however we end up doing it.
The lady is supposed to be measuring now and sending them, but it looks like it would be large enough if I take out the inside tv stand/box thing. Looks can be deceiving though!
I found this FREE on Facebook. Does it have potential for a good enclosure provided I screen the top, front, and sides? Any ideas. I was thinking of using “great stuff” for the back and either go bioactive or cutting a hole to fit a 5gal bucket for lay bin. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome...
I did not intend to get a female. I chose the one that seemed to be ok with my presence in the room. It just so happened that she was female. Now it’s tearing my nerves up just thinking about her first clutch. We are prepared, but I’m still so worried and anxious. We probably have a long time...

So sorry to be confusing, but I just checked on some of those fixtures and bulbs. I guess it depends on the brand of fixture reguarding the length of bulb. Just make sure to check the fine print on the fixture to see for sure what length bulb it takes. Im sure some folks on here can point you in...
Get a t5 high output (ho)fixture (t5 is the size of the bulb that will fit in it). You will need one that fits the entire length of the cage. Someone correct me if I’m wrong (im still a newbie too) but I think the bulb length is usually 2 inches smaller than the fixture. For example I have a 24...
Many of us (myself included) bought the same chameleon kit thinking we were doing the right thing. Unfortunately, they are not ok for chameleons and it is essential to update the lighting for his health and well being. You can still use the fixture as a basking light if you put a regular...
I’m 1/2 way there! I’ve done everything but the pan. It was pretty easy to get the adults even though they still creep me out BIG TIME! They didn’t bury themselves like the babies. I put one egg crate on the top of the substrate and have been moving the little ones over like 10 at a time. I like...
