Thanks Laurie. :) Can you give me a date range as to when he hatched?
Pablo has more of an overall bluish coloration than I have ever seen from a any other quad in person, although the pics don't really capture that. I'm not talking about bluish patches or scales but his background coloration...
Next up is Pablo, a cbb beauty. Thankfully I didn't have to think of a name for him. :D I bought him from Ryan in CA. Ryan did a wonderful job raising him. Pablo was hatched by Laurie. Laurie, I forgot, can you tell us the names of the father and mother of Pablo and when he hatched? Pablo is...
In Kevin's (Dooley1) recent thread titled T. quadricornis photos, he posted pics of some beautiful captive born and bred quads of his and Nick's, mentioning that it is good for people to see the potential of the species as cbb. I thought it would be interesting to see some pics of adult or near...
That concern is why what Kevin is able to do with his quads, housing them outside even when summer temps regularly might hit the high 80s to 90s for a good stretch of time really has me wondering how he has his watering system set up. Kevin, would you mind sharing? :)

I have a question for all of you quad keepers out there. What is the youngest male quad that you know of that has successfully fathered a clutch? Just curious. Thanks for any insight you might have.

Wouldn't he be 17 months old now if you got him at 9 months old at 23 grams in May of 2014? ;) That's still impressive though, a 57 gram gain in weight in just 8 months for Kaliki and Daisy gained 43 grams in just 5 months. You're doing something really well to get that kind of growth. :) I'm...
Wow! Those look awesome. I'm really impressed with their growth. I don't recall exactly how much I might have shared on the forums about the growth rates of quads I've raised, but I always thought they were growing much slower than they should, even though quads grow more slowly than other...
Those two girls in the first two pics are still looking like they are going to lay before the female I have. With quads though, given the small number of eggs they can lay and how they can "hide" how far along they are, you never know. At least I'll say that they look more "plump" than my girl...
Very nice pics Kevin. I particularly like how pretty your female is. The photos by Nick are awesome too. I agree that it would be really nice to see some pics of CB quads, but I want to see even more. More, more. :D
Actually, you saying that has given me an idea for another thread. Thanks. ;)...
He's a beauty Janet! I wish you all the best with him. I really hope he doesn't go through all the ups and downs that many of our WC quads are experiencing. Acclimating WC chameleons can be a real challenge. Hopefully, the next group of animals that come in will be in better shape. I'm sure many...
Here he is over 7 hours later. I wish I would have taken a pic of him when he looked 99% dead. I don't think even the most experienced keeper would have given him even a 1% chance of surviving more than an hour. Again, I can't stress enough how dead he looked. I've never seen a chameleon look...
I never quoted my own post before, and I never have used the phrase "point of no return" and been wrong about it. I found him earlier today hanging by one foot, his tongue hanging out all the way, and his colors were extremely splotchy. He had the death glaze in his eyes (experience keepers know...
The male in the 4th photo is beyond the point of no return. I expect he'll be dead within the hour. All of the quads were really dehydrated and drank a ton when I received them. Several of them developed edemas. This male, along with an adult female I kept, had the biggest edemas out of the...
I posted a shot of the top of his head in the thread titled "KY quad shipment". His horns are longer and his dorsal crest is not as tall as I generally see in the quad quads.
