If their enclosure drops too low at night in temp, then yes, they need a heat source 24-7. But a ceramic bulb with no light for night time. They need 12 hours of UVB/UVA and 12 hours of dark/sleep. Mine is new but already knows his routine and is in his pajamas with his tail curled up right at 9pm.
We just got one from Kammerflage and are very pleased. We have a great idea what he'll look like due to experience and knowing the parents. And at only three months, the colors and amount of "outfits" are AMAZING. Can't wait for the 18 month mark photos. I have an album if you care to see.

Ok thanks. I will add another minute to the misting. I usually run the water until it is warm before filling the sprayer. I do this with our Boa too so the cold isn't a shock. I'll update if I see him drink today/tomorrow.

I always know mine is in his PJs when he curls his tail up. He knows when the light is going off like he has a built in clock, because he is always ready.
