Your not stupid you just didn’t know you need a 12inch by 12inch by 12 inch bin (at least) and fill it with washed play sand and make sure the sand can hold a tunnel like take a spoon and dig a hole and make sure the hole won’t collapse

I’m pretty sure you need a bin that’s at least 12x12x12 and you need to put washed playsand in it make sure the sand is moist enough to hold a tunnel. Without a proper laying bin your chameleon can become egg bound
