your right, it sparkles pretty well under his light, prob what attracted him to it in the first place. Leon kinda tries to bite/french kiss the metal bit, but i hold it so it only just touches his top lip, and gently squeeze when his mouth opens. Just be carefull if you do try it, a mouth injury...
It is pretty funny to think about, and very funny to see. A reptile drinking from a rodent waterer lol yeah defo try it, and let us know how you and your wee one get on with it:)
I just held it in front of him and gently squeezed it till it started to drip, then he practicaly lunged for it, mouth open and drank straight away!! He stays well away from his dripper, so i was very surprised when he drank from the bottle. Wish i tried it sooner.
Since getting our cham we've been trying to find ways to make our wee dude drink more, and we found the answer:D A rodents water bottle, the kind you'd give to a hamster! He loves it and readily gulps the water down. He's never been dehydrated, but the more water the better i think. So was just...
They look pretty cool, but i got a bit of a fright when they flew out straight at my face though lol they constantly flapped their wings which got him pretty eager to taste them:D think i'll be giving him some more. How many can i feed him a day, just a few or a good handful?
Thats good to know! Because when i opened the tub 2 flew in his cage and he ate them as soon as they landed, i got the feeling he liked them alot:) Thanks for the reply!
Sneeze!!
We took our guy to the vets last month for a check up, he used to sneeze aswell, the vet said that it COULD have been him clearing his nostrils from water or excess calcium. But she checked for a uri anyway, and thankfully he was fine, if in doubt check it out:)
Hey, i posted yesterday about my cham only part shedding, and the replies i got eased my mind. But now he's refusing to eat, hiding whenever i walk past his cage, and really dark brown. Could this just be because it's his first part shed, and he's just feeling uncomfortable and kinda vulnerable...
Good to know it's normal then. I know a bad shed can be quite harmful to a cham, so i'm always extra observant when he sheds. I think he likes keeping me on my toes!:D
