Yep... that will work fine. I prefer the black aluminium myself. They have big rolls of it at the hardware store. You can pick the width you need and buy it by the foot;)

They are just basking bulbs...... Like regular household bulbs you would use... but with a blue tint. I use those because this hood puts out enough brite light already... I may use heat emitters for warmth during the day. I have to wait till its installed on the cage to see what options I will...
