I saw a Discovery Channel show on Falcons 1 time and they thrive in citys so do the smaller hawk speices. They love pigions and the city is full of em. But like our pet chams they like and probably need variety
Dont worry about his color too much unless he goes all dark and hides... That would be stress. My guy is avocado green with dark gray bars most of the time during the day while basking...they darken some to soak in the heat better. With my guy... you would never be able to tell his locale untill...
Yes we did.... Look for my thread Free range outdoor danger. I dont remember if it was Carol or Suzi...... Someone batted a hawk out of the air in the nick of time!
Thats good to know, because I hope he shows some Sambava traits when he gets older. Even in the pic I took above he is not as dark green as he usually is. Very nice Sambava you have there!
OH.. ITS GONNA GET "WAY" DIRTY!!! I will be going to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to do some enduro races and they have some of the best trails in the country that are dirt bike only;)
How many of you have panther chams, that when at rest are just basicly dark green with dark bars?? My Ernie is a Sambava Ambilobe cross and doesnt show much colors during the basking daytime hours. When he sleeps he looks awsome.... but there too he looks completely blue bar ambi. Dont see any...
Everything sounds good so far except maybe the vines.... Are those just round with the crusty stuff on them? Ive herad of chams getting that junk in thier eyes. I like the Flukers the best;)
Its a 2012 500 EXC Its a dual sport, enduro bike . But basicly its a super ZOOT race ready X country machine with blinkers and a licence plate;)
Between you and me...... what did ya buy?? I wont tell chamtini:rolleyes: promise!;)
Absolutely! I just build a new big cage and some really cool twisted type sticks I got at Stiens were installed. I actually used alot of them. My Ernie was having a heck of a time climbing on them. So to avoid redoing the whole cage I got some other small vines and wrapped the bigger branches...
You want your numbers as high as you can get them.. If you can get 30's and 40's thru the screen you are doing good. You want to replace the bulb if it gets under 18. You may have to raise his basking branch to get those readings. Iread an article a while back recommending 40's but that was an...
My Ernie loves his new big cage...Im sure most of you have seen it by now. Yet when I get home from work and go check on him he always scurrys down to come say hello. Also he knows I usually toss him a treat or 2 ;)
Thank you all for your wonderful comments..makes me feel good:) I think you guys like it as much or more than Ernie...all he is doin' is poopin upthe place!
