    Tanzania allowing exports again?

    Hopefully this is true !

    Furcifer pardalis X Furcifer lateralis?

Two completely different species. Well you can try it but I think and I hope that nothing happens. Hybridization is in my eyes just acceptable if it happens by accident.

Madagascar and CITES (legal Parson's, etc. exports?)

I still think that I'm quite good informed who has breed parsoniis and who not. I didnt see the point why she should have this success without talking to other persons (beside you). Are there any prooves of those juveniles / FACTS ? Of course I can be complete beside it but Carlton and Chris...

    Opinions on Chameleon Pricing

Its all about demand and supply. Thank god we dont live in communistic states :) Pardalis have their relative high price tag because they are - excellent display animals, many people just buy a single male for this purpose - easy to keep - in comparison to some other chameleons a kind of...

    Critique My Cage

The leaves of this plant are not good for creating water drops. So buy a Ficus and/or a Schefflera and do this fast please ! A jacksonii cant live long without proper water supply

Bradypodion traansvalense male in all his glory

Stay patient ;) It's really problematic to get them to mate, but in some cases it worked now here in Europe. It seems as if the males need relative long to become really adult

Madagascar and CITES (legal Parson's, etc. exports?)

Like I wrote before, there isnt a single entry from her concering own CBs. She has breed many species, many for the first time but no parsoniis.

Madagascar and CITES (legal Parson's, etc. exports?)

I've just checked the whole adcham yahoo group and I found 0 threads from her about any own CBs. She has had a group of CH babies 10 years ago, but they were from Ken K. and others.

Madagascar and CITES (legal Parson's, etc. exports?)

The problem is that parsoniis priced 500$ are in my opinion still too cheap, cause a parsonii cage costs way more ... I know that Susan James has breed numerous species, but I didnt hear anything about your statement that she has had "extreme success" with breeding parsoniis. Chris told you the...

Madagascar and CITES (legal Parson's, etc. exports?)

No, first of all its only a recommandation to the authority of Madagascar. If the authority allows exports, the EU must decide if imports should be allowed or not. With bad luck all the quotas will end in the USA like the Uroplatus quotas did

Madagascar and CITES (legal Parson's, etc. exports?)

Why should importers give them away to import prices ? Should they live from welfare programms. Parsoniis shouldnt be traded under a sum which helps them not to end in the wrong hands (like 10000s of dilepis, gracilis, tavetana etc did) Any prooves on this "extrem success" ? So far I dont...

    Namaqua Chameleon: Japan

Personally I dont have moral problems with smuggling especially in cases where animals are banned while on the same time global companies destroy their habitats. The problem I have with smuggling are the low survival rates of animals exported that way. Again an example from the real life: The...

CB Trioceros tempeli - rarer than CB parsoniis ;-)

Thanks Chris ! I hope to get them through. I wished they were born some months earlier, raising Trioceros outside is much easier than inside. But you can be sure that I will do my best ;)

    Namaqua Chameleon: Japan

My suggestion are small quotas for nearly all species, and if the specimen are really farmbreed, easier ways to ship them. Complete bans dont help much, smuggling under bad conditions becomes bigger and bans of single selected species doesnt help their habitats. The certification you think about...
