Brad, I agree on your input about gutloaded insects (they are a good food for chams). But I still think wild insects would be better. Hmm.. It´s not always easy to find the right words when youre discussing something in english. Can we keep the rest of this thread in Swedish? :D
I read this...
Think about that chams eats a much more varying diet in the wild, not just crickets and silkworms. And those insects probably eats more varying than what we provide them (even if we gutload).
But I agree its an interesting question.
It will work with any spot light that provides white light. But from that link a would go for either

75 Watts sounds to much for those little ones. As mentioned in this thread younger chams don´t handle to high (or low) temps.

Great pics all of them thanks for sharing. I have tried to nail one of those tongues but I never succed
The red bulb is good for other reptiles but not for chams. Chams goes for the brightest place to bask (bright=sun). Those red bulbs doesnt give that much light and its harder for the cham to find the basking spot. So follow Daves advice.
First, I agree with everyone. He is a nicelooking cham!

I would put in more braches and vines in there and maybe more plants.

I´m sorry for your loss.
But I think it´s hard for anyone to tell you what the reason was. Like Julirs said it seemed like you were doing everything right.
I have my thoughts on that. But first I have to get papers for the import from the Swedish Board of Agriculture. I heard with the guy I bought these from and he knew of 1 other guy who breed Silkworms in Sweden. So if I am successful I have a lot of customers :D. But first off is the...

The gauges isn´t that expensive. In sweden they cost around 15-30 CAD (todays exchange rate). But it costs a bit to have a cham.
There is also gauges that measure temp and humidity. They usually cost a little more then the regular ones.
Yes, chams can bite and from what I´ve heard pretty...
I understand your concern but I think you´ll will do just fine. Just keep updates I check forums like this and read threads and you will get great tips on how to keep your cham healthy.
