Thanks Jared. As of now there are 5 hatched and doing very well and 6 more sweating. Only about 39 to go. :)

His instincts kicked in as soon as he was out of the egg and was clearly trying to get away from me. I had another two hatch today, as well.

So I have had 3 hatch out of 48 viable eggs! Quite a few are sweating today. I am finding that they are plant big enough to pretty much for-go the fruit flies and go strait to the pinheads.

I am totally not even worried anymore. Like I said in the last post one had fully emerged and is doing fine. I also noticed another had shrunk and was pipping and wasn't sure if it was okay so i picked the egg up and all of a sudden in my palm emerged from the egg, right in my hand! It...

I don't think they are premature. I just came home to one fully emerged from the egg and walking around. I will just have to keep an eye on them as they are hatching to make sure they can get out of the egg.

I only just had the second egg pip, however that one didn't make it out of the egg either. They both died with their noses through the shell, like maybe the egg was to tough to get through. The next one which is sweating now, I will manually force out once popped or at the very least slit...

Nope it doesn't replace the little lives lost. About a year ago I lost all but one T. montium to a faulty incubator, I chocked it up to a fluke and purchased 2 for my Ch. africanus eggs and lost about 30 eggs in one of them, so I removed the other fifty from the other incubator and placed them...

Yeah I agree. Yeah, definitely if they hatch your are more than welcome to them. I won't however have any unrelated ones. I originally had about 86 eggs incubating with 50 of them from one and the rest from another, one of my incubators however decided that instead of heat, it wanted to chill...
