    Eye problem??? w/ pic's

You didn't, but that Ferdy angered me. Apology accepted. What is it about people? Whenever an animal has an issue, they immediate jump to the conclusion that it's a "cruelty to animals" case. Makes me so mad.

    Eye problem??? w/ pic's

And I just spoke with my vet again on the Hydrogen Peroxide issue. He said, "It can irritate the eyes, but a small squirt of it will not do any damage. It works effectively to clean off any infection." Turns out, it worked great. His eye looks 100%.

    Eye problem??? w/ pic's

Ferdy - Believe me, I spoke with a family friend vet before I did anything (he's 1000 miles away in Colorado). It was his idea to use the hydrogen peroxide. I don't have a good reptile vet available near me. I appreciate your thoughts, but I do not appreciate your rude comments, "Am I...

Not alot, but a little bit now and then. He'll rub it on a stick, or leaf, or whatever he's sitting on at the time.

    Eye problem??? w/ pic's

Thanks Carrol. I tried some squirting a little bit of hydrogen peroxide into it this morning. If it doesn't appear to be getting any better by tomorrow then I'll try Terramycin. I know I can get it at the feed store because my dad uses it for his cattle. I'll just dilute it significantly and...

    Too much feeding

I agree. MBD is not the result of over feeding, but a lack of UVB, calcium, and vitimans.

    Parasites

I've now stocked up my weapons bag for potential parasites (microscope, slides, fecalizers, fecal solution, Panacur, Albon, and soon to be coming - Understanding Reptile Parasites book). I've been waiting for my cham's to poop for 4 days so I can evaluate it. I'm still scratching my head...

Is feeding a chameleon a nightmare?

Other options such as Dubia Roaches and Superworms make feeding much easier than crickets.

    Too much feeding

I feed my cham's as much as they'll eat. I've only had good results doing it.

    Cage Screens???

They rarely climb on the screens. Mostly if they've just been handled, or when a female is hunting around for an nesting spot. But they still end up with missing toenails - not bad, just a little. Either way, I still don't want it. And I'm not looking for a soft screen, but a heavy duty...

    Cage Screens???

Been there - no luck. I'm looking for specialty screens. The kind you can't find at a common store. I guess "screens" probably isn't the appropriate word for what I'm looking for. More like "wire mesh" or "wire cloth" coated in plastic and in a diamond shape. Thanks anyways.

can anyone tell me if this plant is safe for chameleons?

I have one in my vivarium. It doesn't seem to cause my cham's a problem at all.

    Cage Screens???

Hey all, I'm thinking about building some more cages, but I'm going to look for other options for screen other than aluminum standard window screens. I just hate seeing my cham's lose toenails. Does anyone know of a good place that caries are large variation of screens? I'm trying to find...
