They are a small species but if you can give them the room why not. I keep one of mine in a 18" x 24" x 48" and she is very happy. And don't think because they are small they will not use the space. She is very active and I find her in every part of the cage through out the day. She is up...
I have to say that I love your willingness to change for the health and happiness of your cham. I've seen too many people that would just say, "It will work the way it is."
Glad to have you in the community. Your cage is looking great.
Does anyone else's male do snatch and grab mating?
When introducing my rudis together both seemed to be oblivious. Walking their own separate ways they didn't even seem to look at each other. Leaving them together for a while I watched my male walk up to the female, who was still not paying...
Glad you found him. Even with the pokes and scratches from the trees I'm sure you're happy, we know it could have been worse. Good thing you guys have good eyes :D
I really don't have any qualms about bugs, I just reach my hand in and pull out what I need. If some crawl on your hand while doing this, bonus, you don't have to grab those ones just shake them into the cup. :D

Any chance she could be a dwarf, as people sometimes are? (I just finished watching a documentary on the smallest girl in the world. 1'11" at 15 years old!)
Same species only though. And don't put more than one male in an enclosure. Make sure you have plenty of room that every pygmy can be alone and hide if they feel the need to. You have to keep a close eye on any signs of aggression, but that's usually not a problem.
Thanks, I'm just getting ready to pull my hair out already. I can't see anything but the tip of his mouth. I'll just leave it be and hope for the best.
I went to check on my only surviving brev egg and seen it looking rather deflated. My heart dropped, I thought it had got mold like the other three. But then I noticed something black poking out the top. It appears to be a little mouth, but I've been staring at it for thirty minutes and they...
Species confirmation- pygmy??
This is Drake from my R. brevicaudatus group. I just want a couple of confirmations that he is indeed a bearded pygmy. I did not notice when I purchased him but he seems to be lacking a beard on his chin. He has a couple of 'spikes' on his neck but lower than...
