Definitely male, good luck with your new chameleon. There are tons of people here who are willing to answer questions. And read old posts using the search if you just want to do general research.
Sad attitude, Julirs knows what he is talking about. Pet stores are generally a bad place to do research. I hope you sell or return her quick as that is a bad setup and you are unwilling to make any effort. Not that you care but a chameleon needs a linear UVB light, does not need substrate...
Thanks, I was glad not to see any still-born in this clutch. First time we've had 100% live birth. She looked so good when she was pregnant though, so round and bright green. The little princess required food to be sent up to her, she would not move from her perch (as far as I saw) in the...
I almost lost one of my rudis babies. My favorite girl Jelly Bean had nine little ones while I was at work. While collecting them I noticed one laying on the bottom of the cage not moving. I thought it was still born but when I went to pick him up he moved. Upon closer inspection I noticed...
This is all funny. I've never heard of anyone getting zapped by cham tongue on purpose. My little rudis have only done that when trying to get food out of my hand. But then again rudis seem to have no aggressiveness, I've never even been hissed at. (Well, neonates do, that's just adorable :D)
She is a beautiful girl. Only one of mine is that bright, the others girls are not that nice. She's wild caught I assume, or did you luck out and get a CB?
I don't much care for flukers myself. Shipping is expensive, the crickets were the wrong size, it took seemingly forever and the time I had a bunch of dead crickets response was slow on a refund request. They finally offered store credit on the crickets, not including shipping. Needless to...
For baby enclosures, I use shoebox sized plastic containers you can get from Walmart. Make sure it is smooth plastic and leave the tops off. I divide them up into small groups to make sure everyone is getting enough food and they are not stressing each other out. Sometimes the babies have big...
I may be the only person on here who likes the sound. :D Before my cham could eat full sized crickets I would play a sound track of crickets on my iPhone to get to sleep. :p
Small crickets don't make any noise.
It's the same way with sternfeldi babies. Those little guys can drop in a seeming instant, I'm also afraid to let them nap in the day. I hope keeping them alert is working. But food seems to keep them alert :D
