That’s a good idea but knowing me I’d be like nope I like this one better over here and keep spinning until I’m dizzy and keep repeating the cycle haha. This month is hard, way too many good pictures to choose from. At least there is 2nd and 3rd place recognition but most of these photos I’d...
I wish we could vote on multiple photos but then I don’t think it would make it fair I guess? It’s so hard to choose just one photo out of all 10. There is multiple photos in this crop that I would consider 1st prize worthy.
I agree with Brody Even the females have spurs. I’m not super experienced with sexing, but from seeing multiple threads of female and male veiled chameleon threads asking on sex of their chameleon on here over the months I’m going to go out and say i think female. At that age if it was a male I...
I don’t want to sound like a broken record but as everyone has stated you need a 5.0 reptisun T5HO LINEAR BULB. This bulb needs to be put into a T5HO LIGHT FIXTURE. The double dome fixture you have now can be used for a basking fixture with a regular incandescent house bulb but is not sufficient...
Yeah I’d really try to replace fakes plants with live. So many pros to having live, better humidity and cleaner air plus they look nicer to name a few. I’d also watch her very closely now and make sure there aren’t any signs of impaction or sickness.
Chameleons are not puppies no matter how much you think they want to be with you or cuddled. These animals would honestly rather be left alone. Yes you can handle your chameleon but taking him “everywhere” as you described is going to cause a high amount of stress and ultimately effect his...
Hello welcome to the forums! :)
We are going to need to see some pictures of the enclosure and chameleon to see what your working with. If it’s indeed a female you will need to read up on lay bins. Females need to be able to lay their eggs or they can become egg bound and die.
As for your...
I was looking all over for these pictures I knew I remembered seeing them in a thread. It’s definitely a nice little setup for egg laying. I really wish I knew more about females haha they seem like so much more work than males.
As said above I would get a vet checkup on possible ingestion of dirt and the possibility of being egg bound too. They need privacy during egg laying have you tried putting a curtain up around her cage to give her privacy? I have read they will not lay if they see you or disturb them and this...
I do know many people recommend sand or dirt and sand mixed. This is so it’s able to hold a tunnel. Have you tried digging a tunnel yourself to see if it will hold?
@JoXie411 your assistance is needed again haha. I saw you helping her on her June 6th thread and I’m clueless on females so maybe you know what’s going on?
Here are some blogs from dragonstrand.com that you might find helpful on setting up a cage. They definitely helped me at least get an idea on what you can do and how you can setup your dragonstrand cage.

When I look at that photo I instantly think of a dinosaur. All chameleons look like dinosaurs in my opinion but I’d say the Parsons and Jackson breeds look the most prehistoric. Very beautiful photo thanks for sharing :)
I would of donated myself had I known that there was a donation website up. I’ve been following and reading all of this very thoroughly behind the scenes. I’m not the one to go in and stir the pot by commenting my thoughts for all to see. I truly am sad for both parties on all what has occurred...
Lots of patience would be my best advice haha. Here is a good blog to read on how to build trust with your chameleon.
