Unless you are looking to drop a CHUNK of change, any RO system is recommended to run at a 4:1 waste/product ratio. You may be able to get by with a 3:1 or maybe a little lower depending on the quality of your water (incoming TDS)
There are systems that will run at a 1:1 ratio, but they are...
White thing is the filter to keep the mister from getting clogged. Screws into the other white fitting, which is connected (inside the container) to the bulkhead with a small piece of RO tubing.
Other clamps/screws are to attach the RO line to the enclosure to mitigate the vibration (if you...
Looking good!!
Are you going to put plywood in the top of the stand?
I would think a 3x3 cage floor will be hard to support on its own. Even egg crate would probably sag under any weight.
They are very cool!!
One I would definitely like to have one day.
Maybe you'll have a nice clutch sometime soon and be posting babies for sale down the road.... :)
I suppose , in theory, you could have messed up the fitting.
But it would take one helluva tugging to do that. They are made to withstand very high pressure
Like 100 psi or something.
Maybe push on the fitting inside the reservoir while pushing the tube in.
Once in a while I have the same...
Ya, it does get frustrating at times .
I am redoing my system today, running probably close to 200ft of tubing and putting a second system on the enclosures, and a third on my Quad.
But it is worth it !!
Pull the tube. Make a new clean and square cut. Push the tubing in so it fully seats against the bulkhead.
You could get away with dropping it in a jug . But yeah, algae will start to grow. And you'll have to top off the jug constantly.
You could also reverse the bulkhead....
I have never...
The other end of the tubing cutter, the piece that looks like a prong, that's what that is for. To wedge between the two pieces and push back on one of the collars so you can pull it apart
Did they send two bulkheads? One metal and one plastic?
And if so, did you use the metal one?
The plastic bulkhead, if you have it, is the same piece as the one you are looking to replace
