The blue ones are not super bad, in my opinion, but the problem I have is just how bright the darned things are. I've used a 100 watt bulb for Pete during winter, and it wasn't half as bright as the daylight blue at 25 watts. Thing was like a flashbang, but I'm not sure if it was an isolated...
Not quite sure what its care would be, but I've kept a few injured ones overnight to keep them from being eaten by the owls. They don't seem to like crickets, but I have seen them eat ants
Personally, I have no experience with coccidia and do not know its frequency. The best option would probably be to search coccidia on the forums while you wait for the vet.
