    Baby and Juvenile Parson’s

Thanks! It seems blue is the hardest color to capture in a picture. Some of the babies I had this year have been so blue. Pictures don’t do them justice.

    Baby and Juvenile Parson’s

Here’s a few pictures of some baby Parson’s. The last year has been pretty good. I’ve hatched Parson’s from 5 different females and have and have had some beautiful babies. I currently have babies available if you’re looking 😊

    Conflicting hydration info

All valid points. I guess I wasn’t thinking of having a mister feeding a single cage and spraying at that high pressure. I would imagine the chameleons wouldn’t dig that! My pumps all feed multiple cages. Usually 20-40 cages per pump so the pressure is far less and it works very well for me. I...

    Furcifer bifidus

I may have a female an available in a couple months. She’s gravid right now so after she lays and recoups I will be looking for a new home for her. I also have a adult male and a smaller juvenile male available.

    Conflicting hydration info

Thanks as usual for the kind comments. I understand what you are doing is working well for you. The habitats that Parson’s come from experience heavy rainfall. In my opinion they are getting their primary hydration from drinking during this time. It’s true it gets foggy in the wild but as I...

    Conflicting hydration info

I don’t know. As I said none of my chameleons run from the misters or show any distress from being misted.

Here’s an example of what my temps and humidity levels are like currently.

    Conflicting hydration info

Well I breed and keep Parson’s and other Calumma species along with some Uroplatus all of which come from areas in the wild that see a lot of rainfall. My indoor misting which is mostly for babies and juveniles is 3 minutes after lights on. 1 minute at noon and 10+ minutes before lights out...

    Conflicting hydration info

I see and hear the conversations about hydration and fogging all the time on the internet, live feeds and podcasts. I very rarely comment and usually click off because I don’t usually agree with what’s being said. I’m very lucky to live in a place where humidity and temperatures are just about...

Above 6,500 Feet, Two Rare Chameleons…

Marojejy is probably one of the last bucket list spots in Madagascar I’d like to go to. I’ve heard some great things about it. I’ve seen a picture of a female parsonii that was taken there. No male was found and this area was not know to have Parson’s. Hopefully they find a male there soon.
