This sounds like over supplementation. D3 should NOT be given daily! You could actually give him calcium poisoning. It should be limited to twice a month, I for example do it every other Saturday. Daily calcium without D3 is what should be provided regularly. Switch to that ASAP and see if it...
Looks to be the tail, not leg. It doesn't look like a burn to me...if anything it may be some sort of fungus infection. Do you have any other pictures showing? Does it darken or lighten with him or does it always stay the same color?
If your chameleon falls off a branch, you have bigger problems them him "hurting himself" on the rocks. likely signs of MBD. I have some potted plants inside my enclosure and the soil is all covered up with small river rocks (big enough where the chameleon couldn't swallow it if he tried) mostly...
By Default, you should use the 5.0 (or 6% Acadia equivalent). I would only move up to the 12% if you had a VERY thick canopy and penetration was an issue. Based on the picture, you would be fine to go with a 6%.
HOWDY!
Looking for a female Ambanja, preferably 3-6 months old. Would prefer one from a high blue lineage for breeding purposes down the road. Please message me if you have one available.
Thanks!
There must be different versions of this then. I just replaced the old box timer my mistking came with that I've had for years, purchased a new one from Mistking direct at the San Diego Reptile show. I can tell you that mine works Exactly how the OP's does.
Should be spraying at lights on, but 100% disagree with the rest of your statement. 4, 1 and 2 minute sessions is not only not “too much”, but it’s even not enough. Depending on the OP’s drainage, I would even add a a long 4-5 min shower. For the record not all will take to a dripper , mist of...
From your last picture...it looks like there's a T coming from your reservoir? Where are those both going? The line from your reservoir should be a direct line to your pump ONLY. Coming out of your pump, you can then T it to whatever other nozzles etc you need.
I think you're misreading this. The timer shows start and end time, not the length of the misting session. You're able to determine the length based on the stop time.
Well if the pump is trying to suck water in at the times set by the timer, it doesn't seem like the timer would be the issue. If you remove the hose from your reservoir going into the pump, does water come out? Try removing the end going into your pump, running it, turning it off, reconnecting...
Coloration looks female to me. Females are known to show greens/blues on their cheeks. I don't see any kind of bulge that would indicate a male. But it's not even three months yet...so hard to say. Do you have any other pictures?
The only critique I would have, would to see if you can rout the hoses to your misting nozzles around the light instead. I had a similar setup and the constant light/UVB exposure ended up baking the hoses and eventually got brittle and cracked. Other than that, setup looks good! Once the foliage...
Haha...it happens. It's pretty easy to setup, the hardest part is setting up the reservoir, you'll need to drill an appropriate sized hole and make sure it's sealed tight. After that, it's just running the hose to you nozzles etc.
Welcome to the forum and congrats on becoming (or soon anyways) a Chameleon Keeper! There is a ton of information available on the forums from a lot of knowledgeable people. No question will go unanswered!. Panthers do require that minimum size, but you can certainly go bigger. Just make sure...
