I'm in the DFW area. I've not found silkworms locally. I order a supply monthly from a Fourm sponsor, @FramsChams . I've been pleased with the size and quality.
Veild Chams are munchers. They could potentially eat things that are in the potting soil. Even with organic potting soil - I could not find soil without branch shavings, vermiculite and perlite. I covered all of my plants with fine mesh to keep the little mucher out. He frequently eats...
Some people transport in a cardboard box, to decrease stress. I've transported my Veild and Panther in this cat bag with no issues and it makes it easier to manage my Cham when I'm traveling alone.
I use a cat bag. I added branches for climbing. I buckle him in the seat belt for a safe ride. I also use a neighborhood vet (less costly) for wellness checks and annual fecal exams. He actually referred me to Summer Tree for blood work and xrays. I use Summer Tree when things are out of...
FYI- Darwin is gonna screen climb until her weight prevents her from doing so. It's a Cham thing! In human language, its called the terrible 2's. The most important thing is making sure the heat lamp is raised and using a low wattage incandence appliance bulb. Her basking temp might not be...
I use the little dripper without the tube. It sits on top of the cage. the water slowly drips out of the spigot onto the top of the mesh cage onto a leaf. My Cham drinks from the leaf. You could ditch the tube.
I don't know this for sure. Its my total assumption. Whatever hormones, that are specific to her being female/receptive are still being produced at a reduced amount. This causing behavioral responses.
I would take the plants outside and spray/wash them with water mixed with Dawn dish detergent. Rinse well. I would spray the enclosure with plain water before I returned the chameleon. The ultimate clean would be to take the entire enclosure outside and spray everything with water and Dawn...
Honing in the humidity is trial and error. Adjusting spraying/fogging times so that the enclosure is completely dry by mid-morning might help. You could try shorter misting sessions or hand misting. I have automatic misters but for my Veild I found hand misting works best to control humidity...
