    Calcium and d3

I use calcium with no D3 and a little bee pollen powder daily and a multi-vitamin with low level of D3 that I use like twice a month (Repashy Calcium Plus LoD). If your chameleon is getting proper UVB levels you can get away with little to no D3 supplementation.

    How hot/humid is to much...

I'm thinking personal experience with my panther. When his ambient hits low 80's he seems to wander down to lower branches. Being in the high 90's with no where to go to cool down doesn't sound good to me. Is this porch closed in?

    How hot/humid is to much...

Yeah, sounds too hot with nowhere to retreat to cool down. They need cooler temps at night, too. But that's just my opinion and I'm no expert. Maybe someone with more experience will weigh in.

    Outdoor PVC cage

Can those who have built cages out of PVC post some pics? I am trying to plan out how I am going to place my vines, and I'd like to see some of your designs before I begin construction.

    Opinions on zoomed reptibreeze?

I just changed the pic above so you can see it.

    Opinions on zoomed reptibreeze?

Exactly what I did, I drilled holes in the bottom plastic piece and water drips into a tub. It's a good readily-available cage, not sure how good/what differences are needed for bioactive. If you're a DIY person, I would build something out of PVC or wood.

It's on my list of places to go at some point. Must be so cool to see wild chameleons.

    Outdoor PVC cage

Thanks, yeah I'm around a mile from the beach as well so this may work for me too. Is that fiberglass window screen? I'm on the fence between poultry mesh and window screen. Where did the you get the white panel on the floor and ceiling?

    Outdoor PVC cage

I bought the first round of parts for this build. I'm trying to decide on the hinge for the door. I am leaning towards the bolt idea, but thinking about using hinges, as pictured in @janjan20 's setup above. How are these working out for you? Also, why is the PVC floor needed, why can't the...

    Chameleon won't eat

My almost 2 year old panther is currently on a 5 day food strike since I ran out of silkworms and hornworms. He refuses dubia's and is not a huge fan of crickets but they are his favorite non-worm staple aside from BSFL/BSF's. He would devour a superworm but I only like to offer them...

Birth cert and lineage details are a nice touch, I was bummed that I got no details/paperwork with my panther from FL Chams.

    Urgent please help!!!!!

@belliott454, they make that same calcium with no D3, it's what I use. And I'd also get the Repashy Calcium plus LoD.

Even if $35 is the cost for 2-day and this is what I 'got', then the baked-in cost of my over-night (~$100) was lost. Not a huge deal considering everything panned out ok, but it was annoying at the time.

My transaction went relatively smooth. Only issue I had was I placed my order on a Tuesday with UPS next day air which cost $35. I ended up getting my shipping notification on Thursday which said expected delivery the following Monday, due to the seller not getting the package to UPS in time to...

FL Chams here too. I considered CB only because they were within driving distance and had panthers in stock.. no other breeders had any available. Luckily, FL Chams ended up reaching out that they had some in stock and I pulled the trigger immediately. I'm happy with my boy, but I can't say for...

If it was me I'd avoid them and go with one of the known/reputable chameleon breeders. CB appears to have their hands in many different types of reptiles, which could be fine, but it makes you wonder how much they know about and well they care for their chameleons. I have nothing to back this...

    10 best beginner tips

Do a lot of research and set up your enclosure ahead of time before bringing your cham home. Once done, post pics of your setup and information about it here for feedback before you bring your cham home. Also explain how you will feed/supplement your cham to make sure you are not missing anything.

    Is this basking bulb fine?

May be ok, but who knows if the light output looks different to the cham, to him it may look like blue light. I'd keep it simple and use a 60w house bulb, or get a clear/regular basking bulb. I personally use this, and have it elevated pretty high to keep the basking branch at a good temp.
