TL,
Welcome to the forum. There are several chameleon safe plants to be had. If you haven't already, take a look at the list here:

For what it's worth, I can't keep a hibiscus or ficus "well." The current Schefflera Arboricola, with cactus mix...
Let me add to that. " I've never actually seen him eat a cricket"... in the last year, or so. For the most part, his primary feeders are dubia. I supplement with supers, crix, horns and the like. I try to add as much variety to his diet and gut load accordingly.
Crickets are the bain of my existence. At this point, I feed Lucky crickets very seldom. Once in a while, I will buy banded crickets from a local feed store, but I am convinced they are HIS pets that sing to him for a few weeks. I put a few in the enclosure and he must eat them, but for what...

Scroll down to gut load and feed your dubia as recommended from the lists.
Jann, I found this one on Amazon:

The one I got with Lucky, I believe, is the same brand. Breeder was a UC Davis grad., moving back to Washington. He was getting rid of most of his stuff for the move.
Strangely, the...
Bmjo,
Welcome. I haven't seen you here before. Your question depends primarily on his age, species and other dietary and husbandry factors. How old is Zeus? Which species? Lucky just went through a partial shed and he's nearly 3 1/2 years old. He's done growing.
As indicated above, not all eat veggies. I've been trying to offer them to Lucky for three years without a nibble. No worries, just gut load your buggies with the recommended fruits and veggies.Scroll dow to the Gutload section here if you haven't seen this yet. Good info...
B.,
Welcome to the site. Glad you found it. there are a couple of things from your short post that I can suggest. The black spot is possibly a scab or bruise from your cham rubbing his nose on the screen. Hopefully, you've removed the crickets. What did he "chew" in the corner? There shouldn't...
Matt,
You're killing me. I had a pass on Jann's latest hatch and now...uh! Other half says, "No More!" But....
I'd love to come visit for lunch one day, as I have family in Shasta Lake and I believe you're not too far away.
Happy B-day Red! We've got a 13 year old Boston Terrier rescue and can't imagine life without her. So mellow now, compared to when we got her 10 years ago. She's a sweetie. Hope Red has a good B-day.
You bet. Looked around a little this am. If you're a prime member, this maybe the way to go. I haven't found anything under $129 for the basic kit. You might also go a google search for Climist. I hear they're very similar, but haven't had first hand experience with them. Hopefully, someone will...
DRC,
From my experience, all who have a Mistking would not dare give them up. Your best deal maybe with Josh's. Do your homework to find the best price/discount and buy new. In the long run, you'll be glad you did; I am. Here's the listing on Amazon...
Urate color is a good indication that your cham. maybe dehydrated. Also, there maybe other factors that are contributing to his not eating. To give us a running start, fill out the info in the link below and then cut and paste in a reply to this thread. That will give us a place to start...
Well, let's take a look. There are a few things you can adjust in his husbandry, such as more sprayings to up the humidity and you might lower the basking temp to 85. Additionally, remove the dead leaves from the plant and the bottom of the enclosure. He maybe ready for a bigger enclosure...
