    Brookesia ID

Very cool little Chams you have there. Goodluck with them. Are they captive bred? I think the one in the top image is thieli and the one below is superciliaris. We need an experts opinion though. The only brookesia I've ever been lucky to see is thieli.

    Masoala or Nosy Boraha Chameleon

Yes the masoala is white with red stripes. I like this website that has many pictures of different pure locales. Check it out http://www.pardalis.be/masoala.htm I think your new buy is a nosy Boraha

    Baby veiled... not doing good

Very sorry that she eventually died. It's very easy to have something go wrong with chameleons. But keep doing your research and find out from experts in your country what they do that works for them. Don't ask a pet shop - they will tell you anything is good for a chameleon just to push...

    Baby veiled... not doing good

I've only had to deal with respiratory infections 3 times in my chameleon keeping and all I did to correct it was reduce moisture that would not dry throughout the day - ontop of a needed antibiotics course. So I'm no expert on the matter but I go off of what I've read and experienced with my...

Juvenile Veiled Cham Has Been tan-brownish all day! And new poop looks very dry and sheiveled

I agree your chameleon is fine. They are generally darker if they are trying to bask. But it really isn't the biggest issue. Even as an adult your boy might be quite dull unless he becomes very hot or excited when seeing a female or territorial when seeing another male or when he is threatened...

    Baby veiled... not doing good

So much incorrect information... please just .... don't. Don't change to a ceramic heat emitter. Chameleons are stimulated by light so go for a spot lamp for basking. They don't need to be situated near a window to be mentally happy. And your chameleon will not kill itself. Move the cage to a...

    Carpet chameleon breeding questions?

I mentioned this might happen in one of your previous threads. That is why it's always good to be at home with a gravid carpet. Many people experience this problem with them and you can only keep trying new things with the laying bin to try make it more appealing to her. Maybe you can find some...

Thinking of cutting calcium with D3 from supplementation schedule

I also do not dust with d3 at all during the summer months when my Chams are outside all day every day.

    Cham pics

I've never seen a throw of colours like that on an ambanja before. Very cool. The parsonii is looking sharp! Good job.

New Juvenile Veiled Cham looks very brown, and has been for about 5 hours.

I wouldn't be too stressed about a moment of dull colours. Post pictures anyway. From your previous identification thread he looks very healthy on the surface to me.

    Stuck tongue out too far.

I don't think pulling what the tongue is stuck on away from him is a good idea. Pulling is the worst idea as it can cause hyperextension which might even be what happened with your cham. Only you're lucky the tongue went back in. When I noticed my chameleons tongue got stuck on something, such...

    C. o’shaughnessyi hatching!!!

Very big congratulations on this amazing accomplishment. I am excited to see how these babies progress with you. Keep the updates coming. This last image gives me so much more perspective on the tiny size of the campani babies that @jajeanpierre recently hatched.

    Baby veilds hatching but dying

I completely agree with jajeanpierre. It isn't your fault Brody. Researching and following the book doesn't always prevent something going wrong. It could even be genetically inherited problems of the female or the pairing. We must remember that even with everything done perfectly/by the book -...

    Anyone feed milkweed bugs?

It only makes sense. I have noticed people are very sensitive about the topic of feeding vertebrates to chameleons. Maybe it isn't talked about and practiced for that reason. I had fed some local geckos to my veileds when I was less experienced and stopped when I perceived the risks of...

    Anyone feed milkweed bugs?

Would you say feeding anoles could totally replace the need for supplements then? I'm interested in this, have you got some resources i can read about this?
