Some invasive animals need to be removed from certain areas. Coyotes, which are invasive to Alabama, kill and eat probably half of the newborn fawns on our land, drastically decreasing the deer population. Feral pigs, which are also invasive, dig up the land looking for food. With no natural...
Obviously, there cannot be only one lizard prison; there would be no room for all the criminals. There must be multiple prisons with varying degrees of security, with the worst offenders going to the maximum security prisons. So now the question arises: What is the worst of the lizard prisons?
Back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. I can't figure out how my grandparents survived the meteor that killed even the toughest T. Rex. Guess people were just built stronger back then. No such thing as a medal for participation then.
Lucky! All the smart animals have learned to stay away from my...
This thread went from a discussion about lizard jail and @Nursemaia's drugs to talking about venison steak and being old surprisingly quickly.
Actually, forget the 'surprisingly' part.
(I guess the venison part was kinda my fault though.)
I only kill animals that are nuisances, like feral pigs or coyotes, and things we will eat. My dad loves some venison sausage!
I shouldn't have said that. Forget lizard jail! I'm gonna be in Black Dolphin!
I'm not really into fishing. Rather be reading a book or feeding my chameleon. People call me a nerd, but just respond by saying, "So was Bill Gates, and he has a net worth of 77 billion dollars!" Still like to hunt though!
I just turned twelve today! When I had to put in my age, I Putin my mom's information because I was afraid it wouldn't let me post unless I was 13 or older.
Ok! As I said before, I only have a small colony(about 9'' by 13''). I'm getting an ultratherm 6'' by 11'' heating pad. Hopefully that will allow the roaches enough space to cool off when they need to. It gets pretty hot here in the summer so I'll probably unplug the pad then.
Thanks for all the heating pad recommendations!
I read that you don't want to keep the pad on at all times. How often does it need to be turned on and off?
I'm setting up a dubia colony soon and have been looking at possible heat sources for it. I know that a lot of people have heating pads. A lot of the pads I looked at only lasted a limited amount of time, usually 24 hours. Are there any heating pads that can be plugged up and that will last a...
You can buy a drip tray from Dragon Strand, one of the forums' sponsors. It works with a ReptiBreeze, as long as you get the right size tray. The water collects in the tray and I just suck it up with a turkey baster.
The unknown plant is probably some kind of pothos, or a philodendron. A philodendron is safe. I have one in my chameleon's vivarium. However, if it's a pothos, I'm not sure if it's safe or not, since we don't know the species.
I have a few more questions, but don't want to start a new thread.
What are the symptoms of gular edema? I'm afraid I won't catch it early on and have do deal with that.
(This is probably a dumb question.) How many dusted crickets should I give him? I normally give him about eight half-inch...
