    3D Printed Feeder Run

Most appreciated! Was on my list to design and you saved me the trouble. Was in the middle of developing some wargame hexes and buildings for tabletop games (Battletech, D&D), if your interested drop me a line, I'll fire you the stl's. Will eventually get them up on Thingie, but waiting till...

Just mailed an angry response to a site...

Guessing you're talking about the author and not me :) Looks like he just cruised sites for random enclosures, pulled some blurbs from the product sites, upped them to seem they're good for chams, then linked a random vid he pulled up that contradicted what he had submitted.

    Tongue, aiming, and eating concerns

Thanks much. I was debating on the efficacy of the Fluker's line and will switch over to the Repashy line, ordering a complete turnover tonight. I'll start gutloading feeders more on organic greens as recommended and kill the Fluker's. Tong feeding is out as of today, the tongs have been...

Just mailed an angry response to a site...

Captain of the ship takes responsibility. Petkeen compensates someone to write the article. The article has links. Petkeen prints the article. Petkeen makes commission off each link that a purchase is made from (stated on site). 'You' referred to Petkeen, so I addressed them in first person...

Just mailed an angry response to a site...

Hi. I just read your article on chameleon cages, this one... https://petkeen.com/best-chameleon-cage/ It's recent, and that surprises me. Oliver wrote this article. He claims to be a zoologist. With the advice he has given his qualification is questionable. Do you actually vet your authors? If...

    Tongue, aiming, and eating concerns

OK, here we go. He's happy as he got to get out for a bit*. Wanted to get him from a few angles. Handling isn't our norm. * When I say he's happy to get out for a bit I don't think it has to do with the enclosure. We have a large tree near our stairs that tops out near a sunlight and he...

    Tongue, aiming, and eating concerns

Hi folks, ran through a number of similar previous posts and can't seem to find anything that might help. Hoping that posting this may lead to a few different perspectives and opinions based on my husbandry. Filled out the standard form with as much detail as I could. Current Problem - Aiming...

Panther Cham Has A Broken Tongue

Per the feeding... my guy has a damaged tongue and aim is terrible. I hand feed him with tongs. What I've found is that, quite often, he isn't interested in taking food from the tongs. When that happens I'll take a small dubia roach and let it loose on a branch near him. He'll go into hunting...

Panther Chameleon Has Bad Tongue Aim

Ha. Sorry. This popped up in my feed and I thought it was current, didn't look at the date. Made zombie thread, my bad.

Panther Chameleon Has Bad Tongue Aim

Similar situation here with my 18 month panther, healthy in all respects minus the aiming concerns. He was good when young, but I think he damaged his tongue on a miss, which damaged some muscles. He's now constantly high and to the right. He can be an inch away from his target and still miss...

    Holy Cow! Vet pricing...

Hi all. So, Special Agent FP hasn't been to the vet, ever. He's doing quite well (aside from mild tongue damage over a year ago leading to some bad aim). He eats healthy, sheds regularly, and is getting more adventurous as he ages. I decided to look into a vet run just for the heck of it, like a...

When you’re angry but also sleepy

Got 2 spots that he moves between every few days. Funny thing is he's set himself a bedtime - 10 minutes before the lights go off he's in his sleeping spot like clockwork.

    Hi all, checking in...

Hi folks. Was here for a bit last year and dropped off the face of the planet for a while. Just dropping in to say hi and hope everyone and their buddies are all doing well. Special Agent F Pardalis is about a year and a half now. He's in full color and doing well. I did mention a tongue aiming...

Little bugs in my panthers bioactive enclosure. Help!

My guess is it looks like it may be a mealybug infestation. If it is, then based on color they're probably nymphs atm, so you're catching the problem early. They can't hurt people or animals but will kill the plants. They also migrate to nearby plants pretty quickly. Neem oil or insecticidal...

    Hornworm to Baby Mothra

I ordered a number of large hornworms online and an unexpected trip came up. On my return I opened the container and found they had gone to pupae stage. Put the container down uncovered with the intent to dispose of it during the next day's cage cleaning. I woke up to a few of these in the...

    PLEASE HELP 😭

Oh my. As E said, you need a vet yesterday. Provide location, call the vets people recommend, and explain you have no insurance and need to do a cash/credit visit asap (they'll usually run cheaper than normal pricing if you're not on insurance).

Feeder Roach Review - Banana, Red Runner, Lobster, and Dubia

Great read. Already have a good sized dubia colony going, but was interesting in regards to the other species. Thanks.
