    Help With Feeding

I agree with everything above! I know you said you got her a week ago and we have many customers nervous about this same thing in the first weeks of receiving their cham. When chams get to their new home they are getting used to a new cage, people, sights, activity, other pets, etc. Giving...

Sellers posting only fired up photos

Hi Ben, I was reading this and it made me think. Breeders usually do post their chams fired up (us included) because we are always want to show how spectacular they look. It is probably important to include pics of chams at rest. As far as buying chams, this may be a really great question to...

    Chameleon eggs HELP

So sorry! That can be nerve-wracking and has happened to the best of us! I would try to candle them. If you have an LED pen light or other “cool” light (you don’t want to heat them up) you can get an idea of the positioning of the baby. You want the dark part (baby) on the bottom and the light...

How long before hatchling panter chameleons show an interest in food?

We usually start to see hatchlings eat around the 3rd to 4th day. Once they start they are little eating machines!

I agree with nightanole. I was always told the pregnant ones are super shiny and fat.

    Bioactive drainage question

We did just about this same thing when we were glass and bioactive. We used a wet/dry vac to syphon the water whenever we needed. It worked great!

    Post you Roach Enclosures...Please

We currently have a colony of dubia which is thriving somewhat. Tons of shiny pregnant females. When I go into the colony I can actually see births in progress (tiny, white dubia all over the place). More nymphs than I can count but I think we are feeding faster than they can grow. There are no...

I think I've maybe gone a bit crazy?

Haha! I’m glad I’m not alone. I never liked bugs and a chameleon or two later and we are breeding crickets and Dubias. It not strange to see stray crickets/fruit flies around the house and none of us even bat an eyelash. Who would’ve thought?! :ROFLMAO:

    Baby panther. Male or female?

I agree! I love my male and female equally, but my female tends to tolerate humans much more! One of my will eat right out of my hand whenever it is offered. She is just a sweetie.

    First time mating problems?

I used the olive oil after I saw a couple posts using it and the fact that I didn’t have any KY jelly on hand, but I have already added it to my shopping list. Thank you so much for the response. Things can get scary fast. Thank goodness for this forum!

    First time mating problems?

After looking at the forums I did some cold soaks in sugar water, then took a q-tip with olive oil and gently pushed it back in. It DID go in pretty easily and has stayed there. Will monitor closely to see how he is doing. Thanks to the forums for info to help. And I would still love to hear if...
