    Please help

Ok. Yea they still need the hydration, just do not spray them directly. Chameleons are dry shedders and getting them wet will make the shed stick. So still mist the cage, he will still need to drink. Hopefully it’s just dehydration or stress. I’m not an expert and I’m just going off of what I...

Ok. How often are you misting and how? Is it automatic or are you misting by hand?

    Please help

Ok I just went back through your other thread. Were you able to upgrade anything yet? The UVB is very important. Honestly it could be a number of things. Sunken eyes can happen from stress, sickness, dehydration, pretty much anything. Is this the first time you have noticed him at the bottom...

Hello! So the eyes sinking like that is not normal, and would not have anything to do with the shedding. Have you done a husbandry review?

Maybe he has something stuck in his eye? This happened to my guy once. I got some plain saline contact solution and dropped some in his eye and it seemed to help

PLEASE HELP! Eyes closed. Crusted and already saw a vet!

Sounds like you are doing everything you can. Just take it one day at a time, and ask as many questions as you need. @MissSkittles and @kinyonga are the best around so you are in good hands. It’s a lot of info, so just keep doing like you are and making changes one by one. I’m rooting for you...

    review my cage

Check out dubiaroaches.com for feeders. I love them. Have never had an issue with them. They are fast shipping and so nice. Great quality. You can get the small size horn worms from them and they should be small enough for your guy. They send tinyyyy ones when you order the small.

    review my cage

just want to welcome you. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. Do you already have your chameleon? My suggestion is the kit that @BleuSaphir linked a bit further up in post #8. It has all the supplies you need to get started and will set you up for success from the start. You definitely...

    Help!! Mel isn't doing well...

I don’t want to say 100% that’s what it is since I’m not a vet. But it is very likely the issue. While you are waiting for the correct UVB, if it is warm enough outside, some natural UVB would be good for him. Just do not leave him alone for even a second! They can be fast and predators are even...

I was just double checking my review and noticed I told you the wrong brand UVB. NOT REPTIZOO you want zoomed or Arcadia. I’m sorry for confusion!

And please keep us posted!! Let us know what the vet says and any updates. We tend to worry about others chams as much as our own.

You can raise the fixture. Prop it up on something, anything as long as it isn’t flammable. I use a little box on either end of the fixture. Just have the edge of it propped up on the box.

I’ve seen chams in far worse condition make it. My guy was in worse condition than this when I adopted him and he’s thriving a year and a half later. I have some hope for your guy. If you have a fresh poo sample, less than 24 hours old, take it with you to the vet for parasite check. Don’t spray...
