Bump in the Corner of Young Chameleon's Eye

Hmmmmm to me it looks like an abscess. But I am by no means an expert and have less experience than many here. Is the vet you went to one on our list? When they have an abscess, they have to be drained and cleaned out. Their pus is not really liquid. It’s more of a cottage cheese texture (🤢 I...

New Cham Mom with some qs!!

No it’s not required to blend. I personally do, then I put in ice cube trays and freeze. I just put a cube in their bin when I feed them. But I only have one Cham and no other reptiles so if I don’t, I end up wasting veggies. They can do just fine without blending or thin portions. ☺️

New Cham Mom with some qs!!

People modify the screen cages all the time to fit their specific needs. Some searching here on the forum should give you ideas.

New Cham Mom with some qs!!

Correct they are more of a treat. Hornworms I give more often than wax worms. I’ll attach a feeder and gut load list for you. A typical day my guy gets a mix of dubia or discoid roaches and BSFL. I order Small hornworms once a month or so and feed them off as they grow. Every other month I get...

New Cham Mom with some qs!!

Omg she is soooo cute!!! 😻😻😻 I love piebald babies 🥰 so I’m gonna leave q1 to someone else. Q2: T5 HO Arcadia 6% or Reptisun T5HO 05. However, uvb cannot penetrate through glass. The top needs to be screen for uvb and ventilation even if your sides are plexiglass. Suspended is just fine as long...

    Hurt Arm

So glad you got him in! I’m curious…. Did he determine it was gout because when he poked it it didn’t seem to be an abscess?

    Feeding my chameleon

Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you! Here is the form. Copy and paste and fill in as much as you can. I will not be doing your review since I’m not so familiar with panthers, but I can tag in a couple people who are. @MissSkittles @Beman @janjan20 Blue is just adorable and I think...

    Feeding my chameleon

Hello and welcome! How old is your Cham? Going by the amount of bugs you said, I’m assuming an adult? It sounds like he is used to his bugs being loose in the enclosure and him hunting them down. This is a perfectly fine way for him to eat. Do not use the tongs to give him the bugs. There are...

    New friend

I just wanna throw an idea out for you guys. I can’t grow plants no matter how hard I try. So to supplement that and his eating them, I took all my old plastic ones and attached to the outside to give him more coverage. This might be a good option for you while you wait for things to grow and...

    Why’s my baby chameleon digging?

So I’m not familiar with the details of free range since I don’t do it myself (dogs and cats would not allow that 😅) but I would think that if it’s just for a short time, it wouldn’t be an issue. I know one post I saw a while back had their free range connected to their enclosure by a vine. When...

    Inappetant baby cham

Some do bake them, but you can just let them dry in the sun after washing and they will be perfectly fine!

    Inappetant baby cham

Oh! And you can use branches you find outside, just wash with dawn and hot water and let dry. Just none from sap producing trees.

    Inappetant baby cham

Hi and welcome!! I am not real familiar with females or babies, so I’m going to give limited advice and let others do a full review. But the only thing that jumps out at me is: daytime humidity is a smidge high. Aim for 40-50. Night is great as long as temp drops like you stated. Supplements...

    Why’s my baby chameleon digging?

Awesome! Main thing to keep in mind is that he will still need UVB light if he is there for extended time and make sure no other pets (if you have any) are around.

Ready or.. not big change soon.. 😮

Sweet! I’m not a good plant person. I can’t tell what anything is and I can’t keep anything alive 🤣 I have a monstera in my guys enclosure. Between my terrible gardening skills and his tendency to eat his plants, it rarely even needs trimmed😅 I have a rotation of pathos that I often have to...

    Why’s my baby chameleon digging?

Outside time is great if you do it right! You have to be so so careful. I have read stories on here of people losing their chams in their yard and them being taken by hawks. A good option might be to put the small enclosure you have now as an outside one when you upgrade. That way you don’t have...

Ready or.. not big change soon.. 😮

🤣 of course that’s where she decided to sleep! It’s coming along great. Remember: any unused space is wasted. Put tons of branches and vines for her to climb. I know it’s not done and there are still things in her current enclosure, but before you move her over you can always post a picture here...

    Infertile Egg Laying Veiled-Chameleon

She is adorable! And I love the name! The only suggestion I am going to make is to switch your bulb from the 10.0 to the 5.0. I THINK the 10.0 can work if the distance is correct but I’m not certain. I’m going to step out from here and let more experienced keepers help you. You have the best of...
