@LizardLurkin is correct, do not trim them. They need to be sharp so they can climb and hang on those branches 😊 I was unaware they didn’t regrow, so that’s good to know!

One thing I’ve found helpful when using this method, is to actually attach an empty pot. This way I can drop in another pot with the plant in it and when my guy eventually eats it or I kill it, I can easily swap plants without taking it apart.

I would try and lift the basking light a few inches (prop it up on something) 89 would be too hot for him. 85 is the max I believe. So if your stick is a couple degrees less, his back should be around 85. How are you measuring temps?

What are your temps at? He doesn’t have his nose titled up like you typically see with RI. They will open their mouths to cool off if they get too hot.

Like already mentioned, movement can be enticing. My guy won’t eat them unless they are moving. They can also be picky eaters and will throw a fit and go on a hunger strike. I see it on here all the time. You just have to keep offering them. Is he full grown?
