Repashy Calcium plus Lod will work great. Use lightly at every feeding. Make sure you have a T5HO linear fixture with a 5.0 or 6% UVB tube as well. The compact coil UVB bulbs are not strong enough, nor do they spread out enough to benefit the chameleon and often lead to problems with MBD...

Sounds like a veiled to me. Don't be surprised if he becomes more territorial than flighty. Veiled are known to be very cage territorial. Mine sure is.... Open the door and he comes at me with teeth unless hes hungry and I have his feeder cup.

You don't have to add liquid Vit A. The Repashy Plus LoD have both Pre and Proformed Vit A in it. Some people add a small amount of liquid Vit A just to make sure the cham is getting what it needs but you need to be extremely careful since its easy to overdose Vit A. My cham is doing great...

Its a stress or nervous response. My male veiled will do this after a few minutes of puffing up at me if I don't leave when he wants me to.
