He probably went into flight mode. Natural instinct if startled.
He should calm down but definitely do work during the day and let the fella sleep. JMHO

I changed my mind.. Anole--- Thanks for the better picture. (y)
Nostrils and eyes are off. And there have been brown anoles found in Michigan (invasive).
Then the right rescue could have been decided. Sorry-- that is how my thoughts work.-- I will have to adjust.

Nice Shavanna monitor. :ROFLMAO: (y) Just kidding! Had a few friends that owned them as pets and WAY smarter than we think and very trainable.
Nice pic!
No biggie-
We live in CA and every time the news reports an alligator found in the park.
I find it interesting, since it is usually a Savhanna Monitor and that looks nothing like an alligator.
So, I tend to question things. No biggie.
Yes, I call the New Station and they have corrected their...
Can you share a good close-up shot? I am learning about fungus gnats and a possible solution, but never heard of thrips until now. Looks nasty.
Thanks!
Neem Cake is a fertilizer, which is supposed to eliminate fungus gnats at the larval stage. BUT- have to find out if okay for plants in...
Yeah---- maybe I need new glasses or something. Still see anole.. Back legs, long face but don't even see the feed.
I am okay being wrong. (y)
Just glad someone else took control of the situation.
I do have a little OCD when it comes to solving problems and issues (in my defense).
Thanks for...
We are just trying to help.
AND I would have said it was possibly a anole not a chameleon, because of the white stripe down the back (female anole)- the extended tail and the knees seemed to be bowed opposite from chameleons. That is my guess. I would have been wrong. (y)
Note: I have 30...
That's okay. There are many reasons for a photo.
1. What kind of chameleon it is and if someone had personal experience with the species.
2. The condition of the baby chameleon. IF you look at some posts the owners think their chameleon is healthy or looks good. Many are not and we a community...
WOW! Thanks
Just curious when an invasive species is recognized as local... Any guesses or never. I think Veileds, Panthers , Jacksons are in the U.S. to stay (in the wild). JMO I have no clue if there are invasive species outside of the U.S.---
Where are you from? I read other posts and right away can tell it was not a veiled. So we have to do baby steps to figure out things. (y)
We are here:)(y) to help.
Wild caught can be okay if treated properly. Never purchase without seeing it eat. Step one.
I am going through a change of...
Just putting this out there-- Moorpark College in Simi Valley has the EATM program (about 40 miles).
I would call and see if they would help with a special needs chameleon or if a student in the program would help.
Very cool/laid back to visit. It is a Training Zoo.
There are many reptile...
The flashlight is a great idea.
Second: If you have a friend with a chameleon put in center of yard in cage or small tree. This will trigger the territorial or breeding instinct and if near by he will display. Also, watch the second chameleon for reactions too. They can find each other way...
I ponder this often---" why don't others in my family feel the same way about chameleons, crickets, frogs, toads, silkworms, superworms, fish, and every other cool critter in the world?". Oops! Might be to much info... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
