Hey everyone!
So I have a super awesome blue bar ambilobe panther and he's really healthy, drinks lots of water (I don't see him drink, but his urates are perfect white), eats normally...
The ONE quirk I have noticed with Heisenberg is, he will NOT poop in his cage. Like, EVER. And if he does...
I would agree, but his Edema went away after removing this specific brand of vitamins and minerals from his diet. He is now healthier than ever. :D
Thanks guys! :)
Sticky Tongue Farms. It says right on the label, "Calcium/Mineral Supplement for Outdoor Animals."
I simply listened to LLL Reptile and didn't think twice. Poor Heisy. But he's good now, eating his dubias with good ol' plain calcium!
I get a push pin, push it through a clear cup, pin it to one of my panther's vines and he just sees them and rushes to the cup to begin feeding. Just like that! As long as there's food, they'll likely just go eat it. lol
So I have a 9 month old BlueBar Ambilobe Panther (he's friggin amazing).
He's good to go now, but for a while, he was really dealing with some Gular Edema. You know, how their chest get a bulbous little lump that's mushy to the touch? Some call it "man boobs," I like to call it, "Chamele-man...
Don't worry about it for now... I got mine at 5 months and even then, he was wary of me. But over time, he started to realize I'm much more of a help than he ever thought! Now, I can't open the cage without him rushing to my arm to climb to the top of my head. 3 months is not much in the grand...
I'm pretty sure FL Chams has them periodically. Right now, they're sold out though. At $2,500 a pop, you can be sure you'll take damn good care of em ;)

Maybe contact them and see when they'll have more...
Hahaha nice!! Yeah lately too, if he flares, I've been trying hand-feeding him with a dubia or two and he settles down and turns all light and happy. I'm trying to get his lil' noggin to associate delicious food with my presence. And thanks!! I love that name lol, it's from my favorite TV show...
Okay, I know this may come off sounding a little ridiculous. But then again, maybe it won't.
I was recently blessed with an adorable little Ambilobe Blue Bar, he's about 5 months old now. (August 3rd) (pic is in my avatar)
Anyway, there are times I'm feeding him or just generally picking up a...
This fascinates me because chameleons obviously change their pigmentation depending on mood and environment, but do most chameleons have a "base" color that they hit when they're "neutral" or something?
I'm assuming they'll always have the pattern and the colors within the pattern change...
Ambilobe and Ambanja is what I'm mostly leaning toward. I suppose trying to identify an exact Chameleon breed without the original breeder is like trying to look at any random person off the street and trying to decide what nationalities they are made up of, genetically!
I really appreciate...
Interesting, well I'm definitely not closed to that idea. I'm just stoked on him because I saw a picture of an ambilobe and they're so beautiful with all those colors n such, and I wanted one with unique coloring.
Thank you for the compliment! And for the tip. What exactly is husbandry? Or...
SWEET! Yeah this place rocks already. My first post in here and I feel really welcome. So thanks again!! Also nice cham!
Already been browsing all the awesome tools and resources!
Travis & Mr. Heisenberg
Hey, thanks friend! I'm glad to know what he is now.
I just adopted him so I'll be spoiling him beyond belief with all the best cham stuff.
Travis & Mr. Heisenberg
Ambanja?
Just a guess though. Other guesses would be Ambilobe or MAYBE Nosy Be? And then add "Panther" in there maybe somewhere?
Sorry for the noob question! I'm new to the world of chams and I do intend to become intimately knowledgeable on these amazing animals!
Thanks for any input/help...
