    Spike saying hello 🙃

We're here! Just been crazy between work, school and the monster of a puppy. Spike is doing great! He went through a short phase of aggressively climbing on me trying to get out to find a mate 😆 but he's calming down again lol

    Cham behaviour

My male panther absolutely 100% hates being touched by water with a fiery passion. He sleeps in an area where the water doesn't reach (but still get's the humidity he needs at night). I've seen some chams on here seem to maybe even like getting hit by the mister. I wouldn't worry about it...

Spike is chilling in his new sleeping spot 😍 it's really close to his normal spot so i think he just wanted to change branches. Maybe due to his size?

The advantage of planting pothos at the bottom

Here's what Spikes enclosure currently looks like. I want the pothos to cover just a little more but you can see the palms aren't doing anything anymore lol

    Sperm plug

Spike regularly wipes his off on the roof portion of the screen, and some branches. It's like an unsupervised teenagers bedroom in there by the time I get home from work

The advantage of planting pothos at the bottom

This is awesome! I put a large pothos in the very center of Spikes enclosure, then I put smaller ones around the outside. The big one is INSANE now and goes all over the enclosure. Some of the smaller ones have gotten really big as well. Instead of trimming, I've been actually redirecting...

    Sand hoppers

Yes but I am assuming you live in the US. IDK if that is really comparable. But I honestly have no idea, personally 🙃

    Sand hoppers

I would also like to point out that sand is VERY problematic when it comes to bacteria. Feeding your chameleon something that hangs out in sand locally sounds like a death sentence to a chameleon to me personally.

    Sand hoppers

I would refrain from doing this. Do you use ANY chemicals in your garden? How close are you to your neighbors? Do they use ANY chemicals in theirs? Bugs travel. Aside from the bacteria and parasites already mentioned, IMO, this is way too risky to be worth it. I buy all my feeders...

Spike definitely plays with the spray nozzles just to mess with me while I'm at work 😤:ROFLMAO:

A monkey's taste for chameleon salad?

I agree with you there. The Lions specifically preying is difficult to watch.

    Black soldier flys!

oh I don't. If there are 20 flies, I let them all into the enclosure and let them go nuts. Everyone's situation might not be the same as mine, but Spike doesn't seem to overeat. He will literally live with the BSF flying around / sitting around on leaves until he's ready to eat them...

A monkey's taste for chameleon salad?

See I am an idiot. I LOVE watching Animal Planet. I love nature and all it has to offer. But I am such a softy for those poor animals that it still upsets me. I understand it. It's nature. But I'm right with you with the poor animals that end up as food. But..........I can't help myself...
