I'm fairly sure that you can buy gallon jugs of distilled water at the grocery store. Unfortunately I'm on the opposite coast so I don't know exactly what's available in your area. Here you can actually go to a "water store" and buy 1, 5, 10, + gallon jugs of water. I don't think there is fancy...
My first chameleon was a beautiful female veiled chameleon. I adopted her from Petco because she had irreversible damage from MBD. I had her for about a year and half before she died egg-bound. It was really sad but I'm glad that I researched care for her and was led here. I believe all of the...
The best solution for overspray of a standard nozzle is to point your nozzle at plants, since that is what your cham is most likely to drink off of anyway. If you are still having a problem, you can use some cheap clear shower curtain hung in your problem area. Make sure to tuck the bottom into...
Bottled waters are better than tap water for your chameleon, but if you're looking to keep your misters clean, bottled waters still have a lot of minerals in them. I'd suggest buying some distilled or reverse osmosis water. Depending how much water you go through, it may be better in the long...
We were wondering the same thing, about building your own misting system being easier and cheaper. We quickly realized that if you want to build something of good quality, it ends of being expensive because of all the trial and error. We've probably spent thousands on filtration, irrigation...
I believe we started our colony with around 1-2 dozen roaches. If you feed them well and keep them warm, you can get a decent sized colony pretty quickly. I highly recommend trying it out since they are so easy to care for.
I'm not into this idea because it would be nearly impossible to regulate.
Also, good cameras take good pictures. Just like good photographers and good model chameleons make good pictures. If you don't have a fancy camera, work on your photography skills and capturing a great pose or action of...
It was good to meet a lot of new people at the show! If I met you at the Tiki Tiki + AquaZamp booth, PM me so I can connect the face to the username!:D
I got crickets, fruit flies, and this beautiful female beardie
Tiki Tiki had the Melleri and a Nosy Be that you see in the photos with the PVC pipe. The Melleri really loved being able be up and away from the stress of the crowd.
BUSY! I'd say just as busy as NARBC and I love Pomona because it's kind of a cool building layout and the booths are set up great. I've also seen a bunch of vendors that I've never seen before. I highly recommend it.... and not just because we're working the show :D:rolleyes:
