Gotcha. Makes sense. In my head I am using single bulb as the baseline. But in actuality you are saying of the 100% of the light produced from the bulb in a mono quad only 40% of the inner bulbs light is directed down? And if that is the case, what is the reduction for a single bulb fixture?

That seems like a lot of waste. Is that uvb reduction or light? Seems like daisy chaining single bulb fixtures would be the more efficient route.

Their website has a pretty good set of benchmarks. You can select species and get their recommendations and it says a screen will diffuse it by about 30% I believe.

Look at that balance. I love when they sit like that. She’s Thicc. Over feeding is a constant struggle in our house. Our beardie has been on a diet because I’ve read all the possible complications that can arise from plump reptiles, especially females. I get it though.

Well she’s only supposed to get bugs twice a week. But we put greens, fruits, and whatever safe veggies we are preparing for dinner in there daily. I’m hoping the enclosure upgrade will give her more opportunity to run around. But I don’t know what to else to do short of locking the enclosure...

Thing is she eats a ton of fruit and veg too. I think she may have had feast or famine feeding with her previous owner. But we are working on it.

A little chubby is an understatement. My wife is a soft touch, Thelma gives her the puppy eyes when she’s feeding the juvenile Chams daily so she sneaks her feeders. And the whole twice a week feed them as much as they’ll eat in 10 minutes thing...she’s voracious.
