Actualluy chameleons cant hear well, but they can hear frequencies from 200 through 600 Hz. And honestly, thats pritty good for a reptile with no outer ears. That's why I sing/talk to my cham. :)

Yes if he is sleeping in the day that means that he is to tired. Make sure that there is little to no light in the enclosure at night. GREAT setup though!

How much fruit have you been feeding him? If it is a lot then please cut back. Your Cham looks pretty good though.
